Majestic (The), Alexandria

We used to like The Majestic, and thought the Nana's Sunday dinner was good and reasonably priced, but the last two times we've gone have been really disappointing. Servers are inexperienced--no water refills, knife dropped on me while clearing the table--and the desserts have gone way downhill. (They were always the weaker element in the Sunday dinner, but this one was just plain awful: a peach cobbler that had so much flour thickening in it as to make it viscous, and the peaches were hard to cut through with the spoon.) The buttermilk biscuits were good, however. It has always been a bit uneven, with more pluses than minuses, but now it's nearly all minuses. We will not be returning.
