Andre's Off the Square, Newnan

I brought my best friend, her 2 children, and her parents to Andre's yesterday for her birthday. We arrived at 7pm and waited over 20 minutes just for someone to walk up and seat us as there was no one at the front desk. There appeared to be only two individuals working the floor that evening. Once seated, it took 2 hours to get our food. When it finally arrived, the birthday girl's lamb was completely raw and had to be sent back to continue cooking. By the time it came back out, it had to be immediately boxed up as we had to get the kids home and in bed for school the next day. I have never had such slow service in my life, especially considering the place was not busy (only 6 tables were full at any given time during the 2.5 hours we were there). We watched as several other customers who arrived after us receive their food and leave before the waitress ever took our order. We were EXTREMELY disappointed in Andre's, especially considering that it was a special occasion (which I let the waitress know upon our being seated) and we paid quite a bit to eat here. Despite the fact that the food (minus the raw lamb) was good, we will not be returning. Andre's has six very unhappy customers and I hope that they will work on improving their service for future patrons. Unfortunately, we will not be among them.

My friend has taken me there twice for dinner and the food was excellent both times. The service is very friendly and ambiance warm and welcoming. (Their fantastic raspberry martini is a dessert in itself!) I live in Atlanta and this restaurant ranks right up there with some of the nicer ones in Midtown. Newnanites are fortunate to have such a fine establishment in their town.

OVERRATED AND OVER PRICED. Sort of like the Sooners - this restaurant gets all the hype and talk of being the best upscale place in the area. In my opinion you have to provide a better product than this to be upscale. For the cost - I'd rather drive into ATL for a nice meal. Don't misunderstand - the place is fine, but not worth the hype.

I've dined at Andre's many times and I've never been disappointed. Great food, great atmosphere and great service!
