Cleos Brazilian Steakhouse
At Cleo's Brazilian Steak House in San Bruno our guests enjoy a complete brazilian experience with our authentic "rodizio" skillfully served win a Brazilian style and atmosphere. Our typical "churrasco" of Brazilian meat choices are complimented by an excellent hot and cold buffet of traditional accompaniments. Complete the experience by trying our "caipirinha", a refreshing brazilian cocktail of lime juice and cachaA$$a (sugar can rum), or one of our dessert specialties.
OMG...service is so bad. Waitress is rude. Servers with the long skewers of meat and long knives are not nice and not considerate of their tools when serving around kids. We had a reserved dinner party (20+ adults) and the restaurant kept hammering it in that we only had an X amount of time. Can you imagine eating and having to rush to get out? It was not a leisurely dinner. Food was good, not excellent. There's some home cooking dishes in the buffet. It would help if they had signs on each dish for those new to the restaurant/cuisine. The skewered meats that were served/sliced at the table were better and came pretty frequent. I hardly had a chance to try anything because we were rushed. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone because of the service. You don't deserve to be treated that way and they don't deserve your business.
Our experience at Cleo's was superb! Most of the meats were tender, sweet, tasty and juicy. The only exception was the round roast which was somewhat dry with not much flavor. The waitstaff was attentive, helpful and friendly, both the waiters and the men who brought and carved the meat. This was our second experience with this kind of dining and we had a very enjoyable meal for two at half the price that we paid at a well known restaurant in Los Angeles.
it's only the second one of these kinds of restaurants i've been to and it's just ok. it's definitely a lot less expensive than the other one i've been to (the one on Market St. in the City). the meats didn't seem as juicy as the other place but still ok. i'd go again for lunch - i mean how can you go wrong with all you can meat for $15-$16.
this place is hard to find. it has a mr pizza man awning and you see guys with pizza delivery bags coming in and out of the place but it really is a brazilian steak place.
the food is so so. i have been to better brazilian steakhouses in the bay area. the salad bar/buffet is small and not so tasty. the meat is good but i think the variety is lacking. it was alot of beef and not so much of other types of meat.
but the price was good (less than $20) so it made up for the shortcomings.
my biggest complaint was the service. the wait staff wasn't very attentive and when they did come by they weren't all that friendly.
