Amnicon Falls State Park, Superior

Went with our then 6 year old. The hiking along the river is FANTASTIC. So many things to see and do. Places to sit and observe. Fellow park users were great! Wish we could have stayed longer. Mosquitos were intense at dusk when we moved away from the river. Plan two days here at least!

The place is very nice..was very crowded so that may speak for it self. This park was very clean and well kepted with plenty of area. little noise but not bad for being there on labor day weekend..would go again.

... Waterfalls were fun. Campsites, especially the walk-in's, were good. If you go, be sure to take the Thimbleberry trail and the leg down to the quarry - most pleasant and informative. Pleasant, safe place to camp. But very noisy. There was no place in the campground where you could not escape the sounds of the nearby expressway. No place. And sleeping on the west side of the campground gave us awful headaches.
