I have LOVED this farm for many years
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/17/08
I spent many a happy day at Mott Farm as a child, and as an adult took many children there for a fun outing as well. It was the nicest farm for little ones. I feel that Michigan has really lost something with the forcing of this farm to close. I arrived one day with a carload of children to visit the farm only to find it gone. Articles online suggested that there were people who wanted to see the farm closed, saying it was a health hazard. People are more of a health hazard to the lake and environment than the farm animals! If the smell or dirtyness of a farm bothers you, then you SHOULDN'T GO TO A FARM BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT A FARM IS LIKE. It's too bad that the only way we can have animals in our society is in a slaughter house, and not on the farm to enjoy. We really lost a good thing when they closed this farm a few years ago.
