Fabulous Place to Spend the Night
By Aquacrab, 08/31/08
This place was a real unexpected surprise. The rates are quite reasonable, and you're right at upscale Pickering Wharf with all its restaurants and shops. It's very protected, plenty of water, and the docking on the long dock is easy. The dockmaster Jamie was very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. You get a key ($10 refundable deposit) to the front gate, and to the very clean and spacious rest rooms with two showers. It was very quiet overnight, and it's a just short walk to the Peabody Essex Museum and downtown. I will definitely go back.

Fabulous little marina. Great shops, awesome restaurants, and fun night-life!! More history than you can imagine. You can spend a few days trying to see all the historic sights. Easily accessible via train, ferry, or car. Worth checking out!!!

Pickering Wharf has some really nice shops, you're right there on the water, you've got history all around you, boat tours, also within walking distance of East India Square...what's not to like? Bring a camera and definitely check of Capt.'s restaurant - fantastic food and great view of the harbor.

Very nice

Lovely atmosphere and adorable shops. I didn't buy much here as many of the shops in Salem have similar items, but it is definately worth a trip down just to soak up the wharf atmosphere.

Great history, food, scenery, entertainment!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/01/05
Pickering Wharf is very cute. There are great shops, excellent restaurants, bountiful history, and a fun little marina. We especially loved Finz Restaurant for both the food and the live entertainment on the weekends. Can't say enough good things about Pickering Wharf!
