We attended the play "It's A Wonderful Life" this last week at the FireEscape Coffeehouse and it was incredible. They used two rooms and had several sets in each room. No mikes, good lighting and great sound effects. Hope they do this as a regular event- the fireescpe is a place for our kids to go and be safe. The directors, Mark and Marilyn Harms, have opened up a whole new idea for the community. This was great, guys, thanks so much for the effort and great play!
Walked in and greeted by very nice people and kids who were volunteers. Prices reflect the desire to enable kids to afford real cappuccino and lattes, concerts and be in a safe environment. We were there for a great concert with two nationally known Christian rock bands- adults can go to those! Otherwise- strictly for high school and college age kids. Great atmosphere! Wish there was one of these places in every town! There was pool, ping-pong, carpetball and they have a very cool radio station that is streaming on the internet. They have trained kid DJ's which is very cool. This place is supported by donations- a very good place for giving!
What a great place for the youth to go hang out, hear great music, play games, drink the best and best-priced cappuccino and smoothie drinks ever!! They have concerts by Christian recording artists- hard rock, rap, alternative- very cool groups - some very famous groups, too. They have a radio station that will be streaming soon- KFEX, 93.1fm. If you are in town- just drop by and take a tour- this place is amazing!! Adults can come by for a visit, too. This is a non-profit ministry, supported by donations.
