If you're a nature lover, this is for you! On one trip into the swamp on a rented jon-boat we counted over 24 gators (after that we stopped counting)that we able to entice close to our boat (not by feeding-just splashing the water a bit --feeding is an irresponsible no-no. On one of our hikes we came upon a five foot timber rattler stretched across the path sunning himself--not for the faint-hearted! Lots of beautiful big spiders, foxes, armadillos and raccoons are everday fare. We stayed in clean two-bedroom two bathroom cabins that were less than $ 60.00 per day in September. Quite a few miles from a town, and cell phones don't work, but that's a plus as well as a minus.
