To start with the zamboni does not plain the ice so it is swept and filled in with water leaving the ice still rutted.
The people at the desk can take your money and give you a ticket to get in...that is it. They have no interest in customer service at all. I have been going here for over a year and brought my own skates so did not have to deal much with the staff. Last night I rented skates and they were scary to say the least. They smelled like equine feces at best and they were so dull that I could hardly stay up on them. I returned them for a different pair but they were just as bad. When I asked if they had a sharp pair they said that that was it. I asked if they could sharpen some they shrugged...no. I use to work in a sporting goods store in Massachusetts and have sharpned hundreds of skates...it takes 3 or 4 minutes. The boys stand around for hours behind the counter but cant sharpen skates, it is beyond there level of intelligence i guess.
The DJ is just a dude...not much more to say. When he started about a year ago he played a good selection of music at a level that was enjoyable. Now the music is odd and it is so loud that you can not talk to the person or people that you are skating with. my daughter and I skate once or twice a month and The Kennesaw Ice Forum will never see me again. There are some much better places to skate around Atlanta.
Owner, could care less about employees or facility. If you get injured on the job you're fired. Rental skates are a liability because they're so old. No overtime pay or holiday pay even though the facility is open 365 days a year
It is so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Everybody would like it.Even a 2 year old. My neice was out there skating and she is 2 years old. They made her feel welcomed. Go anytime and have fun!!!!!!!!!!
I presently skate there. I have been skating there for about 3 years and I love it. I have so many friends there and I just love the surroundings. It is not to big so you can actually find your way around there.
I went to the Ice Forum a couple of weeks ago with some friends and we had an amazing time. Not just because we were with friends, but it was also great because the employees were very nice and helpful. I'm going back tomorrow and I can't wait!
