Short Drive from Atlanta, and worth the trip.
The family just came back from there, made a day trip while staying on Lake George. I had heard that this was a unique and beautiful site, and it really was. Hard to believe this as formed just in the last 200 years. Reminded us a great deal of the Grand Canyon, just on a much smaller scale. Warning, the hike on the white trail down to the floor of the canyon is not for anyone with physical limitations. The colors are amazing and make for incredible photos. Would love to come back in the late fall when the leaves have changed, or in mid summer when the azaleas are in bloom.
