I have probably played this course more than any other course in Fla and the reason why is that there are 2 different courses (Pines and the Palms) so getting on a course is almost never a problem not to mention pace of play usually pretty quick. It's generally a long and open course with not many bunkers and not too much water so for those of us who aren't PGA ready you should still be able to have a good time. I'd say the Pines course is a little more challenging and more fun to play than the Palms but both courses adequately maintained given the price you pay and the fact that it's a Muni course in Pompano. If you had a complaint it's that maybe the greens and the areas around the greens aren't always in the best of shape and the Pines does border the airport so you're gonna lose some balls. Nice bar with good food and the people out there are pretty laid back as well. The driving range, chipping green and putting practice surfaces are decent as well.

Excellent practice range, green, chip and pitch areas. Wide open courses (no houses or condos). Challenging, in good shape. Great bar indoor/outdoor. Nice people, good food...a really nice place to golf and relax.

Two municipal courses by the airport in Pompano. Well maintained,challenging, friendly staff. Very nice experience. Reasonable green fees (summer fees till mid Nov, $22). Wonderfull outdoor bar with great blackned grouper sandwiches! Definately will return on our next trip down!
