I work at a Salon Up North and went to see my sister for her 50th bikrthday. She wanted a new haircut and was still having a hard time finding someone even though lived in fla for a year. I convinced her to go to an aveda salon and called fusion in pensacola beach and asked lots of questions about talent and experience. Questions I answer every day truthfully. We went armed with several head shots of the same haircut which was trendy but not overly technical.. The stylist was very friendly and assured us that the haircut was no problem, After the 1st initial cut I could tell right away that she had nooooooo idea what she was doing.. She cut the sides at least 4 inches shorter than the picture when I expressed my dismay she said dont worry I know what i am doing.
The hair cut ended up looking like a foot ball helmet and my sister was dev astated The stylist continued to say it looked like the picture which waq ridicioulous. We left upset getting no satisifacion. If anyone from this salon reads these reviews get your staff some education especially since you are representing a high end brand where ckients have certain expexctions!!!!!!!!!! lost a client for life
I have been getting my hair highlighted at Fusion since I moved to Pensacola. I have also gone to the same lady, but she just moved to Texas. I know she was the best there and she was always booked way in advance. I really like aveda products and I am so used to the color that I do not want to switch brands. The only thing is I am a little skeptical about trying another stylist. Has anyone had good experiences with any of the stylists there?
I got my hair done for over two years here, over 20 times in total. “Inexperienced” is an understatement. My first trip I went on a Sunday when there was a young girl there. She was good, for just having gotten her license, although a little obnoxiously “fake” sweet. Second trip, she wasn’t there anymore and they did not do Sunday’s either. I went during the week and got another girl who I requested not to have again. Found out later (about my 5th trip) that she was still a teenager and didn’t even have her license yet, they were just celebrating her getting it. Is that even legal? I decided to give it one my try, started going to a third girl who was good but just left. During my times there I watch nothing pretty or classy come from the other hair dressers. Usually the same two women but there has been a few times with a man there. I saw one little girl burst into tears when she walked out the front door because of the way her hair was done and them not having time to fix it. From seeing her hair I don't blame her, but I wouldn’t have let them touch it again.
The last 5 or 6 times I was there the girls who worked the front desk were different each time and brand new because I had never seen them before. I’d guess they were not trained and just left alone behind the desk although they have all been very friendly. The building is beautiful but I didn't realize they have a spa, even though I walked through it to get to the hair salon. Guess that explains the random people I’ve seen around. I thought they were housekeeping staff. I've heard the manager (the one closest to the hair washing area) talk about getting facials somewhere else with her clients. Guess she doesn't even know they have a spa! She also belittled the employees to her clients when they leave the room and even heard her do it to one girls face. I was repulsed but didn't want to have to leave the beach to get my hair done. I will be now that my girl left! I don’t like to talk bad about anything but I hated admitting where I got my hair done and would never have brought friends or family with me. I’m actually glad my girl left because my hair has already started looking healthier and better since I have stopped going to Fusion….and I pay about the same.
Was on vacation with my wife there, and wife went in to get a haircut, the lady Jenny whom is the manager there, would not agree to anything that my wife complained about. The haircut was an utter disaster, I have no idea how a business like this exists. I really hope the BBB shuts this place down. The wife was pissed off the whole time and cried actually because of the treatment she received there. I would recommend to stay away from this place.
Three of my girlfriends and I planned a "girls' day out" - we started at the Fusion Day Spa and were impressed with the staff, our surroundings, and the total relaxation provided - would recommend their services to anyone.
What a fully trained staff Fusion has! My daughter and myself came in for massages as a girls day out. It was an awesome experience. We were even offered a complimentary make up application when coming downstairs. I was absolutely stunned to see the outcome!! Not only was my artist beautiful herself, but she made us feel just as beautiful!! Good Job!!
The people were very friendly. The atmosphere was very relaxing. I really enjoyed my experience. They have several different packages and will work with a group such as a bridal party. It's a great way to end a relaxing vacation or to pamper yourself before a wedding.
With the world shut out you can take time to reconnect with the soul. The staff at Fusion help with your success to feel paradise for a few hours at least! See Holly for the Rosemary mint body scrub, her "reflex" hand and foot work lasts for the rest of the night! I'm bringing another friend!
