McGuire's Irish Pub
Awarded the Golden Spoon Award and the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for many years and recommended by Mobil Travel Guide and AAA, this 400 seat, 20,000 square foot landmark restaurant and pub is reminiscent of a turn-of-the-century New York Irish saloon and they serve the best steaks, seafood, burgers, and Irish fare this side of Boston. They are open daily for lunch and dinner.
There is nothing to dislike about McGuire's. Once a year we go to Pensacola for vacation and the last evening there is our McGuire's night. The people are the best. We especially enjoy talking to Victoria in the gift shop.

Go here for a Burger. Excellent quality meat, HUGE burger, about 25 different "topping" options (beware of the Peppercorn Burger - great flavor once you scrape off the 1/4 cup of peppercorns used as a topping!), and THE BEST FRIES I HAVE EVER HAD!
Husband and Dad had Fish & Chips - ok fish, again GREAT FRIES!!!
McGuire's is also a brewery. The beer sampler is $4.50 for six samples. A pint of home brew is $3.50. Great value. I recommend the Irish Red and the Porter.
Will DEFINITELY GO BACK!
McGuire's Pub was the best pub we visited on our trip to the Southern US this summer. We kept coming back for their huge and cheesy natchos stacked high with beans and tonnes of meat and their awesome, one-of-a-kind spinach and artichoke dip. Many other restaurants have tried to copy this one but have come up short. Many nights we just ordered these two dishes (and their wonderful homemade "Red" beer) and were more than satisfied. Our eleven year old ate his fair share and really enjoyed the bottomless homemade rootbeer too. On another occaision we also ventured to try their smoked Belfast Ribs and their aged filet mignon. They were both awesome and now that I am home, I actually miss eating there.

cabbage, as well as a great selection of beer including Harp, Bass, Newcastle, and the best pint of Guiness ...
