Sea Dragon Pirate Cruise
Pirate Cruise will take you on a voyage beyond your wildest dreams. The authentic pirate inspired boat takes guests around Shell Island on both daytime and evening cruises, has treasures for the kids, beer beverages for the adults, and the chance to see marine mammals like dolphins and pelicans. The captains get into character by dressing head-to-toe in pirate gear and giving the kids their own pirate paraphernalia.
This "authentic pirate ship" is really a tricked out ferry boat (with bad exhaust). There were more people onboard than seats or standing room. The "pirates" were nice, but for the $100 my family forked out, I would think they could afford a better pirate outfit than gym shorts and flip flops. Activities are average. My 3 year old son seemed to find it tolerable, but I would have rather saved the money and played a game of putt-putt.
Every time the kids had a great time.. ranging from grand kids of friends, nieces/nephews and most recently 3.5 y/o grandson. This last time, the Captain had to close out the day with a snide comment about BP. Which I thought was totally uncalled for. IMO political commentary should be left for the talking heads on television/cable.
The professionalism of the crew with entertainment and they made sure EVERYONE enjoyed the cruise. I hope that things have not changed since 1999. We are looking forward to a great time on the Sea Dragon in 2008.

They may allow the legal number of people on the boat, however there are not enough seats for everyone. Of course the kids will want to be up roaming around checking everything out, but as far as the adults-we want to sit down! I have been going on this boat for the past 10 years and every year it gets worse and worse. The first year it was a lot of fun. It wasn't over crowded and they played beach music and lots of games the whole ride. The past couple of years they seem to have gotten lazy. I am not going back this year. I took my 5, 4 and 1 year old last year and as my 5 year old was getting off the boat stepping onto the dock his foot slipped between the dock and the boat and almost fell into the water, someone caught him thank GOD. It is a long tight drop where he would have fallen,too-not enough room for an adult to jump and save him. He lost his flip-flop which the employees of the boat fished out of the water, but he's even scared to go back on it. There are NO saftey rails on the dock what-so-ever.
We just visited the Sea Dragon this past week and what a GREAT Cruise. Our kids ranged from 2-13 and it was FUN for all!!! This is the BEST crusie for the kids. From pirates, to sword fights, to dolphin sighting to treasure hunting- there was never a dull moment!!!
This is a MOST DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We will be back next year!! Thanks Captain!!
I grew up in the Panama City area and would have to say, this is by far the Best place to take the kids. I grew up going to Miracle Strip, Petty Coat Junction, Funland, and Shell Island. My sister and I took our kids back to visit and this was ausome! This is the best for our kids ages 4 and 9. They loved it. The crew is great with the kids. They play sword fights, squirt water guns, got tatoos, hats, and best of all they find a real treasure box pulled from the ocean.
The kids get to pick out treasure from the box. And all of this while the adults get to drink and sit back and watch! How fun. We will definately be back each summer! What a great idea, why didn't I think of this? And we ate fresh seafood at the BoatHouse right off the dock after the cruise. YUM!
i went with my two little nephews and my older sister. im 16 years old and i actually enjoyed it. to be honest i didnt think i would because it was for younger kids but i did. it gave me time to just chill and spend time with my sister which it seems i hardly ever get to do anymore. my whole attention was focused on BOOTSTRAP.ohh whatta hottie. i want to know his real name.someone tell me his real name.hah.
We went on the sunset cruise and took my 7 year old and my 16 yr old and her friend. I really thought the 16 yr olds would be board but they had as much fun as the 7 year old. We had a great time too!. They keep the kids entertained every minute. That gives the parents time to enjoy the sunset. We saw dolphins and even a shark. The sunset was beautiful. The captain and his crew mates were wonderful with the kids. We can't wait to back!
What's not to love? The cruise is amazing, relaxing and totally a blast for kids and parents alike! Been to PCB 4 times and the Sea Dragon is always on the top of our list. We would reccommend to anyone looking for an amazing time to share with their family.
Aquatic Adventures offers, as their name suggests, marine excursions. Their extensive list of “fun in the sun activities” includes waverunners,
pontoon boats, snorkeling, dolphin encounters, and parasailing. Call for pricing and schedules.
