Dan Russell Municipal Pier, Panama City Beach

I came and went to Panama City, and when I got into fishing there, I could never get my mind off that pier. Best pier fishing in the Gulf is right there at Dan Russell Pier! Large King Mackerel of 15-30 pound range, laying on the deck, are a welcoming sight early in the summer mornings... also, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, Bonito, Grouper, Flounder, and a lot more saltwater sportfish are caught there on a seasonal basis. This pier is also great for just a walk at the beach. Take a walk to the tip, and enjoy ;) I have had fishing success, along with a great way (THE BEST WAY) to spend a day at the beach! ...there is nothing like hearing the sing of the drag on countless fishing poles when a number of 'Smorkers' come by. So, go see what the fishermen have been cuddling about, and visit the Dan Russel Pier, you wouldn't be disappointed. Don't miss what may very well be the best fishing you've ever experienced!!
