Sharmaine's Salon 7 Day Spa, Avenue

When I called I asked for a top stylist for color and cut since I needed a new salon and had a bad experience in another place . The receptionist was very nice. The salon was pretty and clean and stylish. The staff were nice too. She spent time asking me about me and my life and hair . She made suggestions and i told her what I didnt want also. True knowledgable professionals here. I left there feeling like Lori cared about the best look for me and they showed me how to do it at home and my color is amazing! Thanks for caring and giving me great hair!

This may sound strange but I actually went to Sharmaines as I had heard they were expensive and had some celebrity experience and as I had a particularly important occassion coming up, I thought it best not to take any chances. I was given an appointment with Lauri(slim palish Ginger girl) who is apparently a partner in some form or other, not really sure though. She obviously listened to very little I was telling her and then sent me to get my wash.....that was the best part and the girl who washed it was very nice I felt sorry for her as they didn't speak to her like a person more like a dog. Long Story short the Haircut was a little messy and unfinished and needed recutting and the dark brown dye(I had asked for mid brown as I had it already and liked my colour) had bled all over my scalp, Ears and forehead...when I mentioned the issue they didn't take it seriously at all and made light of my comments in front of other customers. One of the Ladies waiting thought that it was so discusting she told the girl she was going to move her car and never came back. I recieved no apology or offer of correction and had to pay for my hotels salon to correct it. The hotel told me a several cases similar to mine which they have had to correct. In short....stay well clear. This Salon charges big big money for less than barber shop type quality. The hotel over the road is cheaper, the girls are so sweet and it doesn't need modernising like this one! Think twice and if you still want to go after thinking about it, then think again!!

Sharmaine's is a ritzy little beach salon and spa, with emphasis on the salon. The hostesses and salon atmosphere are nice enough, but the "spa" area leaves something to be desired. First, I was kept waiting more than 15 minutes past my appointment time. When they finally called me into the massage room, I realized that I could hear every bit of the hustle and bustle of the busy salon just outside my door. Sharmaine's doesn't keep their salon and spa areas nearly separate enough. The massage was mediocre at best, and when I went to pay for it, I discovered that my massage was more expensive than the advertised price because my masseuse was a "level two." Sharmaine's is way too expensive for what you get for your money. I won't be back.

I just recently stayed on beautiful Clearwater Beach. I found Sharmaine's through the recommendation of a "local". I enjoyed a massage, manicure, pedicure and a blow dry. I left feeling fabulous, and spent far less, than I would have at my hotel. The staff was so friendly, not stuffy as in other spas I've experienced. I'm sure to return on my next visit.

My experience was awsome. This is a very friendly neighborhood place but very nice and upscale. You can tell they really know what they are doing. I got a great manicure and a blowout here for a great price!! I will be back :)

Be aware! They have a menu of services but the listed prices will be higher depending on who performs them. Everyone was very pleasant & the spa itself is nicely laid out. An employee called in sick, so they called to cancel my appointment, but then called back to uncancel when someone else became available. My 2 services were combined into one which I didn’t expect, or appreciate. I travel a lot & have visited spas all over the world. I would rate my experience as OK, but not great. Maybe even a little disappointing...

At sharmaine's day spa I recieved a manicure and pedicure from the fabulous Nicole who not only took away any rough skin I had but made each nail on my fingers and toes look amazing. I am nine monthes pregnant and enjoyed every minute of the service I recieved. I have been to quite a few other "nail shops" before but none compared to this one. A big thumbs up ladies!

Lori Fudens did my haircolor. She really listened to what I wanted and made suggestions. I am very very happy with theresults. I feel great and I got a pedicure at the same time from Nicole that is awsome!I have never been so happy with a salon than at Sharmaines.! Thanks for the beauty tips too! Andra
