I eat at the Last Lap Cafe often. They have great food. A good breakfast and lunch selection. All the food is made fresh. The hambugers are the best. Altough the yellow flag is my favorite cold sandwich. The employee's are friendly and the place is clean. I can't wait until they open the ice cream side. the prices are very reasonable, for example, if you get one of their specials for 6.25 you also get a drink and dessert. anyway. I love this place and hope they are around for a long time.
I can’t think of anything good to say about this place.
A co-worker of mine said they have a really awesome BBQ pork sandwich so I decided to try them out. First of all they only had 2 tables with customers sitting at them and one take-out order for about 4 people. There were 3 people working there when I visited. They were just finishing up an order and the only order they had to work on was mine. It took them over 10 minutes to put together the BBQ pork sandwich that they cooked in the microwave. The orders before mine were already precooked. The person that put my sandwich together was using their bare hands to make my sandwich. All three employees were wearing old t-shirts and one of the heavy set women working there was wearing short shorts that were at least 2 sizes too small.
They don’t accept debit cards so luckily I had enough cash. The other poster said that the restaurant is very clean. That is an overstatement. They were just average clean.
I love sweets and I eat way too much of them. However, the BBQ pork sandwich was too sweet for me. The BBQ sauce was more like a jelly then a sauce.
This a great place to eat. The Owners Candy Nichols and Lynn Veiga do a great job running the place. Its very clean and has a great racing atmosphere. I would recommend it to every one I know. You get a great meal for a great price. They do not overcharge like many of your local eating places. My hats off to you Candy and Lynn keep up the great work.
