Xpu Ha, Playa del Carmen Centro

This was the best beach we found. The water was perfect for swimming with our kids. Very happy we found this perfect little beach away from the over crowded beaches in Playa Del Carmen. Definately booking a place In Xpu-ha next year.

Good hotel but almost nothing to do there. Swimming/snorkeling is only in VERY SMALL netted area of a lagoon. Pool is large but uncomfortabely cold. We was there for a day visit but was boored after two hours. Can't imagine what people would do there for couple of days.

the entrance fee was too expensive, and the water smells. there was only a few fish..not pretty too. is not what i expected. totally dispointed.

There are a lot of romantic places in Riviera Maya, this place CAN be romantic, but is really the place to bring the family. Lots of snorkeling, eco-park, bikes to get around the resort...less of the pampering you'd get at the other resorts.

My husband and I just came back from going to XPU-HA Palace for a week. Even after last year's hurricane, it was absolutely beautiful. The resort is still under construction but all the construction is disguised by fencing that blends in with the surroundings. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The animals on the premise were great to stop and watch as you walked around. We visited some of the other palace resorts and were so happy that we had chosen to stay at the XPU-Ha because it was quaint and all natural. To all animal/nature lovers this hotel is a must. If you want to get a feel for the jungle, this is the place for you too. Book your trip today.

Loved the Eco atmosphere. Both of us are nature lovers. The animals were great. Even had a raccoon to come to dinner. Very pleasant & relaxing for adults,with few children at the pool. The snorkeling was great. We stayed a week in 2003. Went back in 2005 for a day trip to see the aviary and snorkel again. The reef area is beautiful as well as the beach at sunset. We want to go back again soon.

My husband and I went for our honeymoon. We had a wonderful time. He had recently hurt his knee and wasn't able to walk well, but the shuttles took us all around the resort. There is always food and drink being served, there is even a FULL BAR GOLFCART... that's right a full bar that drives around the resort offering mixed drinks, beer, soda and water... great when it's hot out. There are so many tours and other hotels to visit, and when you go to one of the other palace resorts you can even eat free there. It's a great place to stay, very romantic... try to stay in the Crocodile Village it's the one closest to the ocean with great views. Although we it rained for four days, there was still plenty to do. They really treat each honeymooning couple like they are the only honeymooners at the whole resort. A champagne and fruit basket upon your arrival, plus t-shirts, a honeymooners cocktail hour complete with a picture to take home. I would recommend this resort to anyone. They also have a daycare center for the kids... so that the parents can have some alone time... for those with kids.
