Wal-Mart, Cancun

I am travelling with a 6 month old - does this walmart carry bottles of distilled water and regular heinze or gerber/nestle baby food in a jar or should I be bringing my own? I can't find any food product listings on their web site. Thanks in advance for any help!

I went to Wal Mart three times during my 2-wk visit. I found the employees to be very rude. Only one of them spoke English. I would think they would because so many touriests are English-speaking. Also, this was during and after Tropical Storm Rina and there were buckets everywhere catching the rain because the ceiling was leaking. There was cardboard on the floor to soak up the water. This was such a safety hazard, but I guess they are used to it and don't mind. In the U.S., the store would be open to a huge law suit if someone slipped on the floor and hurt themselves. I would give the Cancun Wal Mart a 1-star rating for store safety and a minus 10 for employee politeness and customer service.

Cancun store has now a 1000 peso credit card limit. CHECK before going.

Went today to purchase items. Employee and supervisor made me sign travelers check in front of them. They then denied them. WTH ?????? If they were not going to take them, why make me sign them ?????

this is such a welcomed relief for an America and Canadian..Everything you need is in these stores...4 stores are in cancun and each a bit different so I go to all of them...In the areqa of Cumbres it is an elite store and has the rare things one loves from the states....but I only wonder why the eggs are not refrigerated? maybe because they are gone in a few days?? why not put a whole foods section in these stores?? just an idea..also a few good english language. cook books .I would buy all of them..plus sherry and marsala wines...Thank You Wal Mart especially for Moneygram....

HI I JUST CAME BACK TO VISIT FAMILY HERE IN CANCUN AND STOP BY WALMART AND HOME DEPOT TO BYE FEW ITEMS BUT I JSUT CAN'T BELIEVE THAT ALL THE PRICES ARE HIGHEST NAD BIGGEST THAT IN THE USA. THIS COMPANIES AND MEXICAN GOVTS BAD BAD PEOPLE BECAUSE SALARIES ARE NOT THE SAME THAT WE HAVE IN USA BUT THE PRICES THAT I FOUND WERE HIGHEST THAT IN THE USA, AND IS SAD BECAUSE MEXICAN GOV DON'T CARE AT ALL HOW THEY CAN DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT PLEASE DON'T STOP IN THIS BIG STORES OR MAY BE WRITE YOUR COMMENTS AND LET PEOPLE KNOW THIS KIND OF UNFAIR THINGS , BE CAREFUL ONCE YOU STOP THERE OH BY THE WAY THEY HAVE SOME MANY CASHER BUT THEY ARE CLOSED MUST OF THE TIME "THERE WERE OPEN 5 OF 20 WITH A LONG LONG LINES "WHO CARES" RIGHT

Love the Wal-Mart. Shop there whenever I am in Cancun. Will be there next week! Anyone know if I can purchase Keurig coffee maker there?

CAN somebody tell ME IF I can buy an umbrella stroller at walmart cancun. I am willing to pay $20.00 for it

Read a review that said leave tanning supplies at home and buy them there. Ha, they must own Walmart stock! Granted the $14 us per bottle is less than the $20 plus at resorts ,but only 3.99 for same stuff at walgreens/walmart/where ever state side. They all speek english? Give your head a shake, take peso's not $us as they rip you off on exchange. The guy at the resort said no one shops there but americans because it is so expensive, we just laughed and said "expensive not to what were used to", but he was right. I originally got on this sight while looking for places to buy rum, and walmart did have matusalem clasico for $15, but that was it. If you like Bacardi(crap) then maybe something for you, better off going to duty free or state run liquor stores which are hard to find. 1lt of kaluha for $8 is a steal but most places have high prices and willing to haggle if that's your thing. Oh yes walmart, buy necesary items at home, and take them with you and try local markets during the daytime. Mexico is a great place, with friendly people, just be cautious and stay away from Walmart unless you are willing to throw away your hard earned money!! Cheers SA

I have been coming to Cancun for a number of years and always visit the Walmat. Everything I think I need and then some is there! The prices and the quality are excellent. I have recommended Walmart in Cancun to everyone who visits.
