La Dolce Vita, Cancun

If you are looking for an alternative to mexican cuisine while in Cancun look no further. La Dolce Vita was recommended to us by a couple we met dining in the city and we decided to give it a try and I must say we were not disappointed. We are in the restaurant business ourselves in the States so we like to think we know a diamond when we see one and this truly is. I never expected to find amazing Italian food in Cancun using only the freshest ingredients not to mention homemade pasta. The owners and most of the staff from what I could tell were from Italy and went out of their way to make you feel at home. The ambience was perfect. We had a table right on the water where the waters of the bay were practically lapping at our toes. Got little ones? No problem. Come early for happy hour and they can play in the sand while you enjoy a cold cervaza and a delicious antipasti. There are plenty of great places to enjoy Mexican food in Cancun but if you are looking for an alternative you have got to try La Dolce Vita. This is as good as it gets for Italian food anywhere.
