Patrona Restaurant and Lounge is located in the heart of beautiful Ukiah, Mendocino County, California. We are a family-run business and view the restaurant as an extension of our kitchen and living room. Our building served as the town grocery store for over one hundred years. Now lovingly restored, it is softly lit with warm brick walls, filled with hand crafted tables from local artisans and run by a staff that cares. Bridget and Craig, two winery chefs, opened Patrona in 2003. The simple goal was to enjoy the great area we live in and share this with our family and friends. Our mission statement is simply "Happy People". We need to be happy about what we do and how we do it. Our guests need to be happy and feel good as well as our neighbors and future generations. This means a thoughtful and sustainable business. Our menu changes are based on today's catch from the gardens, ocean and local purveyors.
Patrona has excellent food, but is very pricey. Even their lunch menu will leave you nearly broke. They do not fit in with the rest of town, as they are expensive, have gourmet food, and almost no local has been there. Their atmosphere is upscale, which sends most folks down the street. If, however, price is less important to you than diversity and quality of menu, this is the place. Creative, delicious, and progressive.
While staying in the area for a few days my lady and I tried out Patrona on a Thursday night. We both had what we both called one of the best meals that we ever had. I won't say it was cheap, but it was definitely worth it. I generally don't go to high end restaurants as I don't feel I get my monies worth. I honestly feel that I can make a better dinner at home than most overpriced eateries can provide. However, I must say that I was highly impressed by Patrona. The server was kind and caring as well very efficient. The food we ordered was also excellent in every way I can describe it. I won't bore you with a list of what we had but I highly recommend the steak with Gorgonzola sauce. Everything was perfect. I cannot say that about many dinners that I had. I love food and I appreciate good service. Patrona provided both in a classy and tasteful way. I will go back there as soon as I can.
We live in Marin and I work in downtown San Francisco, this place can easily hold its own with any place in those areas.
The food is great and priced at what might seem a bit high but after the meal I have always felt that I got my money's worth. I try to eat other places in Ukiah and sometimes do but I'd ALWAYS be glad to eat here. This is one of our all-time favorite places for dinner.
it's great! and it's not overpriced. Sometimes you pay $18 for dinner, that's just how it goes if you want something nice. But there was a scallop main course once in -06 that was on the small side. But delicious everytime.
