We use only the best ingredients and spices like fresh pineapple, star anise, and sweet first crop jasmine rice.
The food is amazing! The staff is wonderful! They are friendly, accomodating, nice, and always available. They always remember you and it's nice going to a place where they know your name. The Drunken Noodles, Massaman Curry, Satay Chicken, Spring Rolls and Basil Chicken are amazing! We have been to several Thai restaurants in CT and Boston and this one is the Best! You definitely need to try it!
Really loved this restaurant on my first visit. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, great food and great prices! I had the mango curry which was great with the mango balancing out the spiciness of the dish. Loved this place and will definitely be back!
I was one of the first customers to visit Viengthong, and I was blown away. Spicy, sweet, and the freshest ingredients = great restaurant. If you are spice averse, tell them that, because they do not mess around with the chilies! The papaya salad is ecellent. If they have it, try the whole fish entree, it was eye-opening good...The atmosphere leaves a little to be desired, but rather that than the food lacking. Mmmmm.
I am addicted to this place. The Tom Yum soup is incredible and I have never had a bad dish here. The green curry is pretty spicy so beware. I prefer Viengthong to the new Thia place in Canton the Green Papaya, because I think the food and the prices are a bit better. However, if you are going for ambiance for a speacial outing, I wouldn't recommend it. Tip: They do not have a liquor license so BYOB, but there is a small wine shop in the same parking lot in case you forget.
