El Callejon Vista
We are a Mexican restaurant like you never seen before in the US. We pride ourselves to prepare our dishes the old fashion Mexican way. We use truly Mexican traditional dishes and we do not offer any of the typical southwest options. Our sauces are delicious. We offer chipotle, poblano, mole. cilantro and many other options with either fish, shrimp, chicken and meat. Our bar is also special. We have one of the largest collections of tequila. Over 1000 bottles and counting. We are like a tequila museum Our margaritas are also made the way they are supposed to be made. Freshly squeezed lime juice, triple sec and tequila. You are going to love them. Hope to see you soon...
DO NOT BUY THE GROUPON/LIVING SOCIAL VOUCHER. THIS IS A SCAM!! Our first time here and the host asked if we wanted to sit in the happy hour area or general seating. We told him we had a voucher and protested against the happy hour area because of the conditions. He assured us he would take our voucher in the bar with happy hour pricing. After we received our check, a gentleman introducing himself as the district manager pulled the bait and switch. He told us he could not honor our voucher as previously promised blaming a poorly trained staff for the false promise. He stated his boss would take it out of his own paycheck if he honored our voucher! WHAT THE HECK, IS THIS MEXICO!? Yes, I m calling their HR department to verify this practice!! He compensated us 2 margaritas but would not honor our voucher. Now, we re stuck with a voucher to a restaurant who scams customer for profit. We never want to return! WE VE BEEN SCAMMED!!
The bar is probably fine, but this was easily the worst Mexican food I've eaten in North County. Service was inattentive and the food, when it finally came, was overcooked and hard (!!!). It must have been under a heat lamp for 20 minutes. I would have been much happier at a (much cheaper) taqueria.
This place was terrible; the worst 'sit-down' Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten. The menu choices seem appetizing, but once brought to the table you will be very unsatisfied with the food. The salsa was the worst of the Southwest. And the cherry-on-top was the unforegettably terrible service. The staff was extremely slow and forgetful. I recommend the bar, just not the food.
This North County restaurant combines a Southwestern theme, hip cuisine and live entertainment. Wooden furniture features Southwestern style carvings and
Native American symbols are painted on the stone fireplace. Real cactus plants are scattered throughout the restaurant. While the ...
