Hi, I have had a lot of foot from this Market. Today I went myself. It is a very very clean place, well organized, they greet you when you come in and they serve you quickly and with a smile. You can get your deli meats, food prepared to go, dessert, cheeses, frozen macaroni of all kind, ie, ravioli stuffed with fish too, tortellinis, etc. You can stop and have lunch, dessert or dinner. They are opened 7 days a week. Great place, I would recommend it to anyone, especially if you like Itallian food. Buonissimo!
My name is TOM!!!!!Ordered a pizza when leaving work to head home. Ordered a half cheese and half with chicken spinach and bacon. Picked it up and headed home to Cheshire. Opened the pizza and it was the wrong one, have a 2 year old and they will not eat onions peppers mushrooms and some things I did not know what it was, called them they said I can bring it back 15 miles each way, or they would comp a small cheese. Had to drive all the way back to pick up the right order and asked if there was a price diff. The guy at counter said no. $23.00 for the pizza. did the math they charged me for whole toppings instead of half plus I get home the pizza is stone cold. What should of been a $17.40 plus tax cost me $23.00 plus a 30 mile round trip to return a wrong order!!!! When I lived in Wallingford we used to get there pizza every week as our treat I don't know what happened with management but its gone down hill and I will never go there again and will recommend east-side from now on. Plus they got very skimpy on the cheese. Again we used to love them and it was our weekly treat but they have changed!!!!
I come from Southern Italy. I thought I would give this place a try. Not to rain on anybody's parade but the food is too salty and just OK. Tried the Paella... Not a Paella you would pay for at a Spanish restaurnt. Food sits there too long. Coldcuts are probably good. You can't screw those up.
Considering Modern Pastry from Franklin Ave in Hartford just moved another store to Plaintville I would rather go there for pastries. You get what you pay for. This place Pastries are small and over priced. They boast that they making them there. So what? It's still over priced.
I can't go in that place and not spend under $50. The grinders they make are outstanding. They bake their own bread and make everything from scratch. I've had their meatball/chicken parm/eggplant/veal/broccoli rabe grinders and all where outstanding. They have rice balls in the warmer which were really good too. Stuffed breads are a little overpriced for the quality. They have some of the best chiccalo(pork fat) bread I've ever had. Really good food and are always friendly. They carry hard to find items and really don't cut any costs. I'll return again and again.
I moved to Meriden from New Haven and I was disappointed in the area's pizza until I found this place. A little off the beaten path, but worth the trip. Pizza is great overall, crust and toppings are high quality. A lot of imported deli items and some of their own dried meats. Wonderful!
Little Italy has the best pizza around! Compared to Wooster Street, Pepe's, Sally's and any in Wallingford it is far better...crust is perfect..not to thin or thick...toppings are all good...and offer a variety of different toppings I don't see anywhere else.
All other foods made there are also very good....great eggplant parm. the best!
For the real thing...Little Italy is the best..and that's coming from an Italian!!
Little Italy is by far the best Italian deli in CT! They have a wide selection of authentic Italian food that I love! Not only do they make the best pizza ever, but they make it fast. Also, the employees are so friendly and helpful. They introduced me to Biscotti Mellin authentic Italian cookies that my 1-year-old daughter absolutely loves! My husband and I love the Italian gift baskets that they make, and give them to all of our family and friends. Also, they have the best canolis EVER!!! I highly recommend this deli to EVERYONE!!!
This place has the best pizza in Connecticut!!! I am a pizza lover and I have tried many different places all over CT, never being happy with any of them. Little Italy has the best pizza with Christo's coming in a close second. They have lots of hot foods in addition to pizza, so you can walk in and get whatever you want right away. They also have an italian grocery store with everything from beer to tiramisu to imported items. I love this place!
