I had my son and Daughter-in-laws rehersal dinner. 18% waa added as gratuity. So I am assuming since they knew they were getting tipped well, they didn't care what kind if service was provided. Nobody ate at the same time. Everyone knows the children should be servd first, not the case. Most of us were finishing our meals and some people were not even served yet. When I complained to Amy the owner she spun away on her heal and never returned. She had some sserver to give me the bill. The two stars are given because the food was good once we got it. I would never recomend this place to anyone...you only have one rehersal dinner to give your son and bride to be and it was a disaster.

This is Westminster's best kept restaurant secret. Legends Cafe should be rated no less than a four star restaurant. Now I know that is saying a lot but if you try different menu items, particularly from their dinner selections, you will see what I mean. I can assure you, if you try different items on the standard and supplemental weekly dinner menus you are in for a gastronomical experience that will bring you back time and again. This was our anniversary so I planned a surprise dinner this past Saturday evening. I asked for a private area and I was seated in a separate room with dim lighting and a candle in the center of the table. The quality of the food was so exceptional that I want to encourage you to try Legends if you have not already. I also met the owners, Jim and Amy Fields who are absolutely delightful. Jim is also the chef. Jim studied at the Culinary, and for a few years, in Italy just outside of Rome. Don't be fooled, this is not just a comfort food family restaurant, as I said at the outset, the dinner menu is absolutely four star quality. There is a weekly specialty menu. Currently it is a "Taste of Fall." It includes Roasted Pumpkin and Duck Soup, Scallops Marzan, The Ricky (a specialty meatloaf), Sesame Tuna, and homemade Bread Pudding for desert. For an appetizer, we had œ"Arnold's Mussels," steamed muscles in a garlic and white sauce. It was incredible. The muscles were fresh and perfectly steamed (that in itself is an art), but the sauce was superb with fresh Italian parsley and garlic. I selected the Pumpkin and Duck Soup from the Fall specialty menu. The pumpkin was pureed and contained roasted pumpkin seeds, three ounces of smoked duck and a dollop of sour cream in the center. It was one of the best soups I can remember, you have to try this one. My fiance had baked French onion soup that was hearty and flavorful with lots of provolone cheese floating on the top. Next, I chose a Caesar Salad that was excellent, the Romaine was crisp and the dressing was classic Caesar. Now the entrees: I chose the "Chuck Harrison" a hand cut to order prime angus beef rib eye. I ordered the 16 ounce cut, medium rare. The steak was seasoned and char-broiled to perfection. It was tender and juicy, as good as, and even better than, any specialty steakhouse and at half the price. It was served with caramelized onions, fresh cut French fries and garnished with lettuce and chopped tomato; again absolutely exceptional, My fiance ordered the "Babe's Baby Backed Ribs." They were slow cooked, fall off the bone tender with an incredible home made BBQ sauce that should be bottled and sold separately; it is tangy, bold with a hint of smoke, but not over spiced. Again, try to find ribs this good at a specialty rib house and you will pay twice as much and it won't come close to these. The prices are moderate and an exceptional value when you consider the quality of the food. We always need a to-go box because first, there are ample portions, and second, we could not conceive of leaving food this good behind. Not to forget the service: It is very friendly and attentive without being invasive. We cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. Come several times and try different items on the menu. You can't go wrong with their dinner features, I can assure you.

My husband and I tried this restaurant because we have heard so many good things about the food. Well, good does not describe the pasta dish that I had , it was out of this world. The best part was that I had plenty to take home for lunch tomorrow! My husband had the brisket that was on special and it was so tender and tasty. The atmosphere was inviting and unique and the staff was so friendly. This is our new favorite spot. We plan on returning next weekend and taking several friends! Thanks for a great evening.

OMG! legends is amazing you just have to try it they have everything from fresh seafood, to all american burgers and everything is great! It is a family owned and ran reasturant, the husband is the cook, the wife is the hostess and very nice and personable and two of their kids are waitors! When i go i get a diet coke, an order of the jalepeno' poppers and the baked ziti (delicious!!!!). LOVE the enviroment and the wait staff, ask for Brandy, Rachel or Johnny (my favorites!)

Best Restaurant In Westminster!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/12/09
This place is just awesome. Fabulous service (the owner even comes by the table to say hi!), wonderful food and a great atmosphere. There's lots of seating, so I've never had to wait. I recommend, seriously, anything that is on the menu. It's all wonderful, their crab dip is especially tasty! Whenever I'm in the area I try to make a point to go here to eat. 100% great!

Fast Food is Better
By NicoleM, 7/20/07
I hope that the restaurant owners were the ones who wrote the reviews above, because I took my kids to Legends last night, and it was horrible. One of the worst restaurant experiences ever. I do appreciate good food, and believe me, there was none to be had here. I was lenient with the place too, because I know it is not supposed to be 5 star dining. My son's kids meal was fine (grilled cheese and applesauce - hard to mess up). I ordered the Maryland crab soup and there was a nice layer of grease on top. Pretty hard to do, because there shouldn't be anything in crab soup to generate grease. The chili had no liquid at all, just a bowl of meat with a few beans. It was disgusting. The boneless wings were hard with too much breading, and the sauce was not good. Since the waitress was nice, I just asked that they remove the chili from the bill. This took 3 iterations of the check to get it off, and then they added a soda we didn't have. The manager never showed, only some head waitress who was clearly agitated at my request. Will never return. EVER. While most of the places to eat in Westminster aren't great, there are a few that are pretty good. This is the bottom of the barrel.

Hidden away gem!
By My 3 sons, 6/27/06
My husband went there first with our children. He raved about it. I went and was pleasantly surprised to agree with him. Super Fat Greek Shrimp Sandwich! Lots of unique choices! Good appetizer list! Wait staff was very friendly. Nice fun decor! Gotta find it folks!
