My wife and I were on a weekend getaway and we had dinner at the Firelake Grill before our play. We had an excellent dining experience here.
The server was very knowledgeable and the other wait staff helped out by asking if we were ok with our drinks. The food was incredible. We savored every moment of our meal from the first bite to the very last bite.
I would suggest this restaurant if you are looking for an excellent meal. It may be a bit spendy but for us it was well worth the money.
A couple of weeks before Christmas, my husband and I get a suite somewhere downtown for the night, watch the Hollidazzle, do some Christmas shopping and have a nice meal. This time we ate at Fire Lake. We found the food as well as the service to be outstanding! So much so, we purchased gift cards for a few of our friends and set a date with them to return the end of January. There were 10 of us that night and again, the food and service was outstanding! I will highly recommend! I know we will be back. We did eat breakfast there and I can honestly say, this is not their strong point.
FireLake is one of my very favorite restaurants. I am a regular for breakfast. The menu is perfect, not too many choices and all of them are quite honestly, the best I have ever had. My all-time favorite breakfasts include - Pork Chop & eggs, Wild Rice Pancakes with Chokecherry Syrup and Trout & eggs. Lunch and Dinners are awesome too. Try the Cherry Smoked Lamb Ribs for an appetizer or the Sliders for quick lunch. The service is always great and atmosphere is comfortable/casual. If you have not been to FireLake you have got to try it, seriously one of the top ten restaurants in the twin cites.
Went to this place for the first time with 3 friends but will never visit again. The food was poor and the service was awful. The starters were ok but the mains arrived cold. On top of that the server was slow and not in control. The table missed half the silverware when the starters arrived. When the mains arrived , cold, the table had not been cleared of the starters. Steak knives were dropped on the floor and then placed on the table. All in all a poor experience and I advise others not to bother.
