My friend and I visited Las Vegas and were craving sushi. We googled sushi restaurants so we could read the reviews. Sushi Mon seemed to have very decent reviews, so we ate there. What a mistake!! I dont claim to be a sushi expert by any means, but, what we found was a shushi restaurant with barely OK sushi. Most of the rolls were very bland. I think out of all the stuff we ordered only 1 thing was tasty. The rice was not sticky enough so that when you dunked it, you lost most of the rice in your soy sauce. Twice the smell of something burning came wafting out of the kitchen, which made us laugh because I think we read someone elses review about that happening. The woman serving us gave us a warning to eat everything we order, and if we dont they will charge us extra. Oh my goodness!!! I have never heard of such a thing!!! They were fairly quick bringing us our first course, but the subsequent courses took a while to come out. How convenient....you only have a 1 hour time limit, and if they can take their own sweet time...you eat less!! The trays of wasabi and ginger were probably made earlier in the day and they let them sit around in the kitchen because the wasabi was dried out and the ginger was sort of shriveled looking. Grose! My friend and I were really looking forward to a great sushi lunch...what a waste of time and money!! Sushi Mon should change their name to Sushi Bomb!! bar
