food was absolutely tasteless...service was horrendous! it was like they forgot to put salt and pepper on everything, our cheesecake came out warm, the server was never there. i would never go again and would never recommend it to anybody. i can t believe some of the reviews on here are so positive, if i didn t know better i would think they were secretly the owner or employees giving themselves good reviews on here and no real people visiting at all.
I have eaten every type and kind of food since I m from the south I have consumed many types of critters from squirrel to raccoon to opossum to a hundreds of different types of feathered birds.. Let me tell you about this Capo s joint if my wallet ever recovers from my previous trip to Vegas I can PROMISE every breathing human that reads this that I will absolutely NEVER eat any where else than Capo s while in Vegas!!! The whole experience from buzzing in to paying my bill was an awesome freakin deal, I loved it and advise anyone to eat there twice once for lunch and twice for dinner I can truly say even if you win a million dollars in Vegas if for some lame reason you do not try Capo s before you leave Vegas I would say you really lost.
This place is awsome! We were in vegas and wanted something new. The mob theme is pretty cool, but the food is great. Meatballs and peppers are to die for. If you really want a unique experience, than capos is for you.
Take into consideration that we were looking for a last minute place to eat near our location, we had just visited the Haunted House at Circus Circus, and it was already 10:15 pm. My Husband suggested Capo's and called to check their hours and location. He spoke with a surly person who was very curt and their conversation was cut short by a bad signal. I then called and was spoken to in a very incourteous manner. My husband, undeterred, called again and was told that Capo's closed at 11 p.m., he said we would be there in 5 minutes. We arrived at Capo's at 10:30, the door was locked. We called Capo's again and there was no answer. If anyone employed by my company ever thought to treat a customer in a likewise manner I would terminate them promptly. I did not enjoy Capo's cuisine, nor will I ever.
This was my first visit to Capos and found it a great surprise! Given hubby and I are youthful older folks we totally appreciated the atmosphere. The food was pretty good for the money . I ordered the Pasta with clams, My dish was a touch too salty and the pasta a bit soggy. But my husband hit a home run with his Veal Parmesan. My salad was a little garlicky. Hubby ordered the soup and it was divine. I love authentic Italian food since I grew up on the stuff. I figured it was just an off night for my items. Can I tell you their Terramasu is to die for? owwwwwwww.
There were four at dinner last night. I must address the food by course. The house salad was very good. No complaints for any of us, actually we all raved on how good it was. All the main courses were excellent. We had Chicken Parmigianino, Chefs sleeps with fishes, Stuffed Chicken Anastasia, and a New York Strip with garlic. We ranked stuffed chicken the top choice, with other running a close second. The steak was very good and had an excellent flavor. My only criticism would be the steak was a little cooked. I would recommend ordering steak one notch rarer then you like it – you can always sent it back for more cooking.
We had three sides. The spaghetti was very good. The risotto was good and the garlic mashed potatoes were awful. The potatoes tasted like instant potatoes. I would suggest they be replaced with broiled red potato quarters. All entrees came with aspargus which was very good.
The staff was great. Not one complaint. Prices were reasonable - no complaints.
