Romero's has the best Mexican food in Pahrump Valley. It compares with the best Mexican resturants in Vegas in food quality and taste. The atmosphere is open and family oriented in one location and connected to the Stagecoach bar at another. Both are clean and neat, service is well above average and prices are reasonable. At Romero's Northside, one can often enjoy the live performances come from the Stagecoach while at the other dine-in location, one can enjoy the festive spanish music being piped through via satellite. There is a new third location that is simply a drive-thru. I have not been there yet.
Romero's food rocks. The staff are all smiles & on top of it. The salsa is out of this world, nothing like it. I lived in TX for 3yrs. nowhere compares to Romero's. Try the Chicken Diablo or Carne Asada Taco's yummy. Also if you get a chance to meet George the owner he is the nicest, most friendly guy ever, and again the food is sooo good.
The foods not bad, the service could be better. The salsa was excellent, but its gone down hill as well. They seem to be using more from in a can and lots of additives and stuff I don't want in my food.
Sometimes its hit or miss for food quality, overall its okay good, some attention to detail is missed. It seems lately though that the beef has been overly salted. Still its an okay place to eat and go early on weenend nights because its can be crowded. You can also go to the northside for alittle drive and get in if the main is crowded.
Since having gone to La Fiesta we have found we prefer that over Romero's everything seems to be from scratch there.
