First time at the Hinge and it will be my last :( First we where a party of 10 ..6 dinners came out 10 minutes later the other 4 arrived... Eggplant was burnt to a crisp..Can't complain because my friends were waiting 10 minutes for our food to arrive. The real kick in the A** was that it was my sons birthday and we bought a cake to celebrate they charged me $10.00 to cut the cake? Are you kidding me ? I spent $72 on 2 bowls of soup , one glass of soda 2 burnt eggplant dinners both cold because of wait $10.00 cake cutting fee and tip..The service was terrible and the server was unfriendly. The only thing I can say good about the Hindge was the friendly piano
player I have never wrote a bads review about a resturant before but this (no Pun) took the cake No stars never recommend will tell story to anyone that ask...Nikki firstname.lastname@example.org
I am from this neighborhood, and the owners of the Hinge Cafe have done nothing but improve the quality of this area.
The service is very good, and I have had numeous meals there, and they have all been excellent.
They sponsor local artist, and get involved in neighborhood activities.
Not only Port Richmond, but Fishtown as well.
They are a tremendous assest to our community, and I am certainly glad they chose Port Richmond.
Keep up the excellent work.
Food was sub par. The owner or manager was very rude! The place is small. Location is bad. I would never go back even if they gave me free food and didn't charge me money to drink the wine that I brought.
Not far from Baltimore and New York the Hinge Cafe brings the best of both cities to Philly with scrumtious crab cakes and decadently creamy cheese cake. But not only a restaurant style cafe, the Hinge Cafe is also an art house that hosts a music venue, art gallery and bodyworks studio.
