AMAZING FISH & CHIPS ! This little family owned jewel of a secret in our desert is the GREATEST!! The menu is good, the food is DELISH, the ambiance is fun. The SPECIALS that they do periodically can't be beat. WE DRIVE OVER 15 miles ONE WAY from Scottsdale. My son is 16, a vegitarian, & hands down it's his favorite eatery.
This is trully an amazing place ,it has a wonderfull atmosphere at the bar, great selections of beer ,and I challenge you to find a better place for fish and chips,My faverites are the calamari and the crab cakes ,Yumm,Definately my faverite restaurant in the north valley.
As a brit who's home was by the seaside in England, finding the Cod Father was a delight. Not only can I indulge in some wonderful fish and chips but you can get a good pint of pale Ale, and shop for those lovely English biscuites and chocolate. Now the weather is getting cooler. it is time to enjoy some fabulous fish and chips
We went to Cod Fathers and thought the food was good, but the little guy who took care of us did not honor the Saturday Special f $3.95 adding additional charges because we ordered cat fish which was an undisclosed premium. How would we know if not disclosed up front? He told us to GET OUT and I mean he said to GET OUT when confronted. I am giving this restaurant the star rating it deserves regardless of how good the food was.
I first discovered The Cod Father when he was in Fountain Hills and have been enjoying their fish and chips ever since. I was bummed when he moved his place out west but I just drool the whole drive and can't wait to get there! The best fish and chips I've ever had!
Yes Indeed 'Codfather' is well deserving of the 5 star rating.
Being an EX pat Brit, as I now consider myself to be, it is lovely to find a little piece of back home England, so close to where I live.
The food is some good grub and you could not wish to meet a nicer bunch of people working there. Once or twice and I eat take away once a week the chips were a little more greasier than I liked, however it truly is worthwhile stopping in there and trying for yourself.
One can have a nice beer.
Codfather is now offering a lovely selection of British goods.
Sweets, biscuits and much more.
I tell you this is a great chippy and for anyone out there who is not familiar with real authentic British Fish n Chips, do go and have a bite to eat there.
Good prices. Thank you Codfather for bringing a little of England into this desert we call Arizona...Amazing and delicious...
God Save our Queen ....
