My wife and I own a restaurant and this tends to make you critical. We tried Asahi for the first time 5/30/2010 after church. I didn't expect much but wanted the experience. I was blown away. This place is small, not located in the greatest area. Have to park in back and walk around. The food is well worth the effort and don't judge from the area. once you're inside you will find it clean and inviting. Service was a bit lacking but they were a little busy and I can forgive this. Nothing that would keep me away. Prices are very reasonable. The fried rice and veggies are UNBELIEVABLE! Menu is limited but if you like japanese you'll love this place. Locally owned and operated and their pride shows. My wife and I had the Hibachi steak and chicken and I wanted to eat again before we left even though I was stuffed. Not many places can entice me to want to return that fast.
