Food quality not worth the price! Watch out for refills on your drinks, each refill of soda or tea is $4.00. We will never be back. We have been to many of these types of restaurants and this was by far one of the worst experiences.
Not worth the price, the value is very low. They will not allow you to eat what you want, after 2 small fillet mignon wrapped in bacon...they stopped bringing that out, even when requested to the waitress (the staff kept lying and pushing the bill to get us out the door instead of listening to the customer, the pork and chicken kept coming around the corner only to be rejected again and again). The waitresses are very friendly and nice, however the management is running a scam instead of a highly valued business. When you pay $35/person you expect to eat what you want. The management is concerned about the short term profit instead of making long term relationships with customers and creating a faithful base....horrible business skill set, low education level. Eventually we gave up waiting for what we wanted to eat, we tapped out and asked for the bill, which was promptly brought to the table.
went to Tento's 02-14-09 had a 700pm reservation, waited over half an hour for a table with half the place empty, so that set the mood for dinner. The food was ok not worth the price, I will not be back any time soon. I should have gone to ruth chris.
My husband and I dined at Tento at 7:00 pm on Saturday evening. This was our first time and we will most definitely be back! It was fantastic! We had a great table by the kitchen, so we never had a problem getting service from the Gaucho's. Everything we ate was wonderful. I do have to say that some (not all) of the meat was a little rare for me, but all you had to do was tell them what you wanted and the next time they came out they made sure to stop by your table. The buffet was awesome as well as the Mojito's. We cannot wait to go back! As for those people who left negative comments.. you always seem to have those people no matter where you go. They are NEVER happy with anything. Don't listen to them!
We went on a Tuesday, and the place was half full.
Food was excellent, buffet items were nicely gourmet (Lobster bisque was superb) and the steak and meat items were top notch.
Some were a little rare, but otherwise all good.
Service was excellent, the waitress knew her game, and was completely professional.
First off let me tell you I love steak, a good steak makes my day. The service was as good as any 5 star resort I've been too.Our glasses were never empty, the guys came around with all 14 cuts of meats so fast I could hardly eat them all before the next. The food needed no seasoning, no knife to cut, as were they so tender, you could use a fork.Overall one of the best meals I've had in yrs.
Been there three times. Food is good but they need to hire more staff. They bring the food very slowly. If you have ever been to Texas De Brazil in Orlando you are overwhelmed by the amount of gouchos and meat that is brought to your table. Unfortunately my wife and I found ourselves twitling our thumbs waiting for service. I give the food an 8 out of 10 but service is a 3 out of 10.
I definetly recomend this place to any one who likes steak. It blows ruth's cris away. You definetly have a wide selection of steak to choose from. The service was excellent and was there to serve. The drinks were the best in town especially the mojitos.. definetly a place to check out, especially to bring a date....
The food is incredible here and you can eat as much as you want for one price. It is a little high- around $30 a head- but well worth it. In the middle of the restaurant is a buffet where you choose your salads, soups, sides and fish. The real treat is the main dish, which is various cuts of meat that are brought to your table by the waiters. You choose what cuts you want of what kind of meat. They offer steak, veal, chicken, pork, and other selections that stray from the norm. You can choose the rarest or the most well done piece, and you can always ask for more. The only drawback to this restaurant is the location at the beach. There are always shady characters wandering around Jax Beach, and they might ask you for money- that can quickly kill the ambiance of a romantic dinner. The restaurant itself is very pleasant and romantic. Enjoy yourself at this lovely gem at the beaches.
