Not Good. Went there with my daughter to celebrate my birthday because I love the Kobe Beef burger that I have had at other locations, I just retired from 21 years in the Military so being my daughter for my birthday is a wish come true.
1-I was told 10-15 min wait. Not true, it was more like 25
2-The table was dirty it had to be cleaned again
3-My daughter s silverware had dry food stuck to it. New Silverware
4-My bread plate had dry food stock to it. New Plate
5-I ordered a Medium Rare burger, I got a well done burger, they offered new burger, dessert, other plates but at that point I didn t want anything.
The manager comped my entire check but my first birthday dinner with my daughter after retiring from Military was ruined.
We eat here often because I have a favorite dish, but the environment is loud and crowded if you don't ask or a both. There are long tables NY style where you feel like you are eating with the table next to you, and I don't like that. Also, we had a server lie to us and tell us they don't offer a free birthday dessert when they do. I hate being lied to, and think it's bad business. I probably won't go there again because I really think it's bad business to lie to customers especially when I knew better and knew I was being lied to. What's the point?!
I love the food there. The Avocado eggrolls are amazing and the shrimp bistro pasta is also delicious. Yes, you do pay a lot for the food, but there are at least 2 meals in each (leftover lunch the next day). The only drawback is the wait and not being able to leave the lobby while you wait.
Food for the most part is great, service is usually friendly and tries their hardest to meet the needs of their customers. Only two things keep this from being an excellent palce is (first) the wait time tends to be killer, and you really can't go anywhere to kill the 30-70 minute wait for the chance of losing your table if called early. The second issue is the fact that even though they are so close to a college campus they don't tend to card. Four out of Five times I have not been carded and I was under 21.
