What a fine dining experience, I was doing the touristy thing while traveling through North Carolina and happened upon The Station Restaurant,,I splurged and had the Steak and baked potatoe and a salad. The salad was crisp and fresh and the steak came out on a sizzling platter with sauteed mushrooms dripping from it. The steak was done a perfect medium rare, just as I had ordered it. I could hardly wait to cut into it, the smell had my mouth watering so. The meat melted like butter, The baked potatoe was hot and
flakey and very inviting.
Sadly, there was no room for dessert.
My experience was very positive and I will tell friends and family that I highly reccomend this place.
I was a cook for many years and I am a bit of a food snob... all was very good.
this is one of the worst restaurants i ever ate at in my life the waiter was rude and even cussed at us when we complained about my grandaugters pizza being cold he made us move saying we was blocking the walkway but let someone else sit at the same table the food was cold and some of it wasnt cooked all the way then we called to complain to the owner an was cussed out by the wait staff and a manager saying the dont give a sh*t i wish i wouldve read the reviews first and they were showing racism towards a couple that was a differant race sitting beside us they got up n left which is what we shouldve done too for they were being racist toward us! the Better Business Bureau will be contacted as well as my attorney! This should'nt get even 1 star!
The Station Resturant had sad service and poorly prepared food. Sorry to say that they weren't busy. I read other reviews but had to see for myself. Not looking forward to returning.....at all. Just as a side note; The Bryson City Train ride is not quite as advertised. 44 miles, 22 forwards and the same 22 backwards, several bridges not of any significance and 0 tunnels and oh yeah, we didn't hear anything over the speaker system. Though, it was not our first tourrist trap; it was with the most disappointment!!!!! Take your own refreshments and food on the Bryson City Train ride, yes seriously!!!!
my hubson and i are going to this little town next week, i read all the reviews about this restaurant , i'm sorry your family's had to go throught this. THANK YOU FOR LETTING US KNOW ABOUT THIS .I'LL PAST THE WORLD ON ALSO..................
This place is a fright! We spent a wonderful day in this wonderful little town and then rode the Polar Express. We were tired and hungry and decided to give the Station a try! What a mistake. The prices are exorbitant! They are very proud of their bad food. My mom wanted water...no tap here! THREE BUCKS a bottle! We all ordered hamburgers. I got the mushroom swiss burger. The mushrooms were cold and canned. They were the slimy things you take out of a can....yea, they'd just been spooned on the burger! NASTY! My cousin got chili. No flavor. The burgers were tasteless slabs of meat on overly big, bready buns. And the bill was outrageous. Once served we were never offered refills; never asked how we were; nothing! This place is terrible! I figure the only way they stay in business is by all the unsuspecting tourists who get off the train. If you're one of those tourists heading that way (it's really a lovely town) take the advice of the majority here...stay away from the Station Restaurant! They are the worst!! You'll get a better dining experience at McDonalds! And for far less money!
The service at The Station Restaurant was awfull. Watiress was slow and had an attitude. The prices are way to high for the food you get. They were going to charge us almost $2.00 for water! I wrote down the tip on my receit and they took out over $3.00 more than what I had wrote down. Do not waste your time at this dump.
