Ige's Restaurant & 19th Puka, Aiea

My wife and I always come to this place when we re-visit our home and family in Hawaii. This happened on Wed, 02/10/09. The food was great as usual but our evening was messed up by an uptight, rude, unhappy, wise-ass waitress who needed to be fired. We usually get great customer service from the staff but this girl needed a serious attitude adjustment. The manager apologized for her and even gave us 25%off our bill which was very gracious of him. Very cool guy by the way too. She then thought to leave us alone for the rest of the evening without even an apology in which we didn't receive ANY service at all except for this other MALE server who was very awesome and could teach her a thing or two on REAL customer service. He had many other tables but still managed to help us out when needed. Needless to say, we gave him the tip and gave her our leftover napkins. I hope we when we come back to Hawaii next year we don't have to deal with someone like her who is a very sad and unprofessional representation of such a great establishment. Keawe Santiago

Food is good but needs a little more service. It's also very noisy inside because of the bar and karaoke.

The food at the restaurant is fine but the service, especially for take-out patrons, is horrendous. The Ice Queen was rude at best, she made me want to throw our order on the floor and demand my money back. This is not the first time we were met with horrible service, the last time it was being ignored for a good 10 minutes before having our order taken. My husband and I, who eat out often, vow this is the last time we will be patronizing this establishment.

Excellent food (try the shoyu pork).
