Like so many restaurants lately, 99 overcharges for soda and iced tea. Do you really want to pay around $2.50 for a glass of soda or iced tea? Family of four, that s ten dollars. Believe it or not, I price the iced tea and buy only at those places that charge under two dollars. It s not to save money, since I only order ice water at 99, it s that feeling of being ripped off. If they gouge you on your drink, what else are they cutting corners on that I can t see? Hmmmmm.....maybe I should check the kitchen. HOWEVER.....on the flip side, 99 s food has improved and so has the size of the portions on some things. Still some overpriced things on the menu, but overall the food is better than it was a few years ago. I stopped going some time back because of the poor food quality, but I gave it a try recently and three visits were all positive. Still got ice water...refuse to be gouged
