First of all, the grill side was full, so we sat on the sushi side and the atmosphere was so boring. We ordered our sushi wrapped in soy and it came out in seaweed. Our childs food was never brought and our entree was horrible. We ordered filet and lobster and it was chopped up into little bite size pieces as well as being over done. The food is entirely too expensive for the quality. I do not think we will be going back.
While most people have had a bad experience at a restaurant, I believe this would probably top them all. I was served three beers at the restaurant, two of them I had to go to the bar and get myself. From the time the first plate was placed on the table to when I received my food was approximately twenty minutes. We had 8 people in our party and the food was spread evenly over twenty five minutes. The waitress seemed to be overloaded and always preoccupied with something else. The sushi was marginal, and the pricing was on the high side. When I received my food twenty five minutes after my friend received his. I asked to speak to the manager on duty to discuss the problems with our experience. The manager refused to speak with me and sent a receptionist to take care of my complaint. It then took an additional twenty five minutes after everyone had finished there meals to receive the checks. I have had bad experiences at restaurants before, but the manager had always came to the table to reassure me the restaurant valued my business, but in this experience no costumer service was offered. And this whole horrible experience cost me $ 54.00 dollars for one person. I had three roles, a salad, and three beers. I think I would have been better off eating Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches at my house rather that experiencing Tokyo Live. What a horrible experience.
First, I am Asian and this is not a real Japanese restaurant,
you can call whatever you want except Japanese restaurant. All the employees, including sushiman, hibachiman, they are all Vietnamese or Phillipines.
The worst restaurant I ever ate, bad food, does not taste anything at all and also takes forever to bring the food when they don't forget it, which already happenned to me. Better taking some fast food, you won't regret.
We ate @ Toyko Live for my son's 10th birthday. He invited a few friends. They ABSOLUTELY loved it!! We all had a great time. They always talk about how much fun they had. We sat at the Hibachi Grill - The food was great - the show they put on was wonderful. In fact, we are going back tonight. If it was closer to where we live we would go more often. If you want to sit at the Hibachi Grill - which I would strongly recommend - Make reservations.
I was very disappointed with this restaurant. The restaurant has it's walls painted BLACK, dark lighting, dark menus. Because of all the darkness, you thought you were at a bar or something. You could not read the menu's and they were hard to understand. I was totally disgusted with it. They had these strange circle things hanging to separate tables which was totally strange. If you go, bring a flashlight so you can read the menu. No joke.
we dined at one of the tables over looking the river and I have to say it was a one of a kind experience. it has to be the best japanese restaurant in Lafayette bar none. their sushi list is not only impressive in size but also amazing variety. and their hibachi is absolutely a must-do type of an experience
WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDEFUL.....we love this place, food is alway great, wait staff is always great and atmosphere is wonderful....We use to go to some of the other places but once we tried this place it is great...love their sushi too!!

REALLY LOVED IT... GOOD ATMOSPHERE. FOOD WAS TASTY.. LOVED THE CAJUN ROLL.. ITS BETTER WHEN YOU GO WITH A GROUP OF PPL SO U CAN FILL THE TABLE, B/C IF NOT YOU'LL BE EATING DINNER WITH A TABLE FULL OF STRANGERS..LOL BUT IF U DONT MIND IT, THEN I GUESS ITS OK.. IT WAS A BIT EXPENSIVE FOR TWO PEOPLE IT WAS ABOUT 100.00. BUT WE ORDERED QUITE A BIT OF FOOD..
I'D RECOMMEND IT..
