Used to be excellent when Calvin Gray was manager. Understand he has returned, but at my last visit in Jun 2012, still disgustingly filthy as it was under the manager who came in behind Calvin. Calvin was definely not my friend as I found him not a people person, but he used to run a good restaurant. Previous manager got rid of the most attentive waitresses Golden Corral had even had, he also mixed up the arrangement of foods and started putting onions in so many foods, one would think they were eating in the military mess hall. Prices went up and time for senior rates moved to 1-3 PM, which is stupid. Seniors used to fill the place between 2-4 PM, and the crowds have sure diminished, so am guessing they also aren t taking their business there either. Clarksville needs a great family place to eat, but Golden Corral may soon go the path of Ryan s which is now closed.
Visited this location tonight (01 January 2012).
HORRIBLE! This was our first and LAST visit to Golden Corral.
Could not even tell what 85% of the food was (that disgusting!) 80% of the food on the buffet line had obviously sat there for the better part of 3-4+ hours. Mashed potatoes were as runny as soup (no joke). Everything looked as if it had came out of a dumpster.
Food all over the place! I have worked in the food industry when I was younger, and I promise this place would not pass a health inspection. I would like to know how this place is even in business!
We paid, saw the food on the buffet line and turned right around and asked for a full refund.
The manager? who was running the meat area had a horrible attitude, and when we asked for our money back this ***** asked if we had taken any drinks out of our glasses as if he was trying to charge us for drinks!!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMP.
This place truly makes McDonalds look like Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.
I am writing fair about this place when I say it needs to be shut down. I will be caling their corporate office tomorrow morning.
I'm from out of state, I visited your restaurant about 3 weeks ago. I was shocked when I went to the bakery I over heard a stocky black man that worked there also make sexual remarks to the girl that was working. Myself and a lady Mrs Bennan heard him. Mrs Bennan wanted to claw his eyes out. We both tried to get the girl to leave and file charges. She said she wourd talk to the manager tmorrow. Mrs. Bennan told her you better, if you don't she would contact the Department of Labor and Iwourd do the same. I returned to your restaurant on Nov. 11 and this guy was still working. This man should have been FIRED under the law. I will contact Mrs. Bennan and will contact Dept of Labor first thing Monday morning Nov.11 and the BBB. I forgot to mention this was at the Clarksville location. We want him FIRED NOW! Mr. Patterson I will return to see if he is still there.
VERY LOUSY FOOD AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE SAVE YOUR MONEY EAT AT MC DONALDS I WAS EVEN TRESSPASSED OF THE PROPERTY FOR THEIR LOUSY FOOD. THE GENERAL MGR AND OWNER ARE BOTH DISRESPECTFUL AND RUDE. I WAS TOLD THEY DID NOT HAVE TO FOLLOW CORPRATE RULES BECAUSE HE OWNED HIS OWN STORE. WE WILL SEE HOW THE FEEL ABOT IT AT THAT LEVEL IN THE COMPANY. CALVIN AND SHELLY ARE BOTH WINNERS LOOKOUT FOR THEM!!!!!!
It was such crap on Veteran's Day for the troops waiting to eat and dine in at this restaraunt for the annual free meal always offered previously to the troops in the 101st and around the states. But this year it wont be that way I guess we have to wait till the 16th of November and a week after Veteran's Day to take advantage of the opportunity. Totally Dumb in my eyes though.....
I have gone to Golden Corrals from here to Texas. I must say, at first glance, I was impressed. The cashiers were friendly... at least one of them was. The food was standard for all the other Corrals. But, what really stood out was the service. If I hadn't already paid, I'd have left immediately. The servers were quite rude. I saw many times they simply ignored a beckoning hand from a patron. Dirty utensils... on the buffet and the tables? Well, the kitchen is right there.... I felt I'd need to wash them myself they were so slow. I must say, I'd rather drive the extra time it takes to go to a completely different Corral, than to return to that one. In fact, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Everyone has an off night... I went back a week later. I was informed that the friendly cashier, the only saving grace of the place, was gone. They had driven her off. The service was just the same as before. This time I was forced to leave two pennies on the table as a sign of my displeasure. I left before I could become too disgusted. I'll never return to this place again. Take the extra time to go to a farther one. It's well worth the time and effort. This Corral should be avoided. I caution all who read this.... Eat at your own risk. Thank you for your time in reading this. I was very disappointed. I love this establishment, but the Clarksville location is giving them a bad name.
My whole family loves going to Goldon Corral! It's Great food at a great price. We all can find something we all love. The kids love the fruit and dessert. I love the salad bar and my husband loves the meat and potatos. We always go there when we have a chance.
Now my son and I go here occasionally. My son is 5, and he loves Golden Corral. I think the dessert bar is what he's in love with. I personally think that most of the food is blah. Nothing special. And most of the food looked dried out and unappetizing. I do like their rolls though, but that's about it.If you want a large selection of just okay food, Golden Corral is great for that. Otherwise, I'd go somewhere else.
