IHOP Restaurant, Mobile

The food was very good but the service was unacceptable. It was approximately 8am on a Sunday, yet there were very few customers and many open tables in the restaurant. We had expected a packed restaurant at this time of morning. Although we were promptly seated, we waited for over 15 minutes at the table for a server to finally give us coffee and take our order. We would have probably been left waiting longer, but we went up to the person at the cash register to ask where our server was and why we were left waiting at the table so long ! This location is obviously in need of better management. Compared to other IHOPs across the nation we have visited, this particular restaurant location ranks terrible for service. You would think in this tough economy, that corporate HQ would tighten up on service skills and hold managers accountable for poor performing locations.

My husband and I recently visited IHOP. We ordered the endless pancakes. After our first stack my husband asked for our next stack. It took 45 minutes for our next order of pancakes to come. The service was slow, the food was ok. The banana cheesecake dessert was delicious. If I go back it will only be for the banana cheesecake dessert and I will call it in ahead of time and get it to go.

Excellent food, reasonable prices, and they'll feed you until you hurt. A great place to go for breakfast or any other meal.
