Pierro s Italian Bistro
By Lauren, 12/21/12
Highly disappointing food - award winning crab cakes were nothing but burnt bread patties and their $9 Stromboli was a doughy mess half the size it should have been.

Lots to love. The food is always excellent and the servers provide you with a friendliness that makes you feel like family. Garlic knots are always a tasty treat. Their marinara on their Italian dishes is very distinct and tastes fresh (I prefer the lasagna or chicken marsala). The downtown location has a lovely patio that you can enjoy the views while sipping on a glass of sangria. Lastly, they have a new wine and martini bar downtown that looks amazing with beautiful white couches and glass tile. Two thumbs up, Pierro s is a must in Fayetteville.

Every time I patron this restaurant there is AWESOME service! They definitely have the best pizza in town! Their Tuscan pizza is my favorite! Would definitely recommend this place over the local chains!

While I do not normally write or read reviews for establishments, as I believe that word of mouth from people I know and trust are more reliable than complete strangers, however, this time I felt a need to document my recent experience in this restaurant. A co-worker and I went to lunch at the Hay Street location today, and it was one of the worst experiences I have had in Fayetteville. We were seated right away, and our server was very quick to check on us, get us drinks, and take our order... however, after our order was placed, our server came to say that the kitchen was running a few minutes late, so our lunch would be a little slow. As we had an hour for lunch, we agreed a small delay would be okay. An hour after we had placed our order, our drink glasses empty, and no sign of our waiter for the last 20 minutes.... needless to say we flagged down a waitress from a nearby table. We requested the waitress contact our server so that we can pay for our drinks and depart. Our server returned to the table, apologized on behalf of the owners, and to state it would only be a couple more minutes before our lunch was ready, did we want to wait and have it prepared to go, etc. We stated that as we only had an hour for lunch, we were already overdue back at work, could we just pay for our drinks, etc. Our server returned with a bill for the drinks (under $5), at which point I handed over my card to pay for them. Our server returned a moment later with at $17 charge on my card and the receipt to sign ( I can only assume it was for the full meal that was never delivered). As we were already running so late returning, I signed the receipt, left no tip, and have considered it a $17 lesson.... not to return to this restaurant.

The atmosphere is wonderful and we had good service BUT.....When we ordered our salads we ask the waitress if their Ranch dressing was home made. She informed us that all the dressings except the italian was from Sam's club. I would think Pierro's could do better than that! I ordered the spinich canneloni with basil cream sause. It consited of three, it was so salty I only ate one. My husband ordered the lasagna, Stouffers frozen lasagna has more flavor. Our friend orded the chicken parmisan and he ate less than half. His wife had a calzone that had chicken in it and she said it wasn't very good either, she ate less than half. Maybe they were having a bad night but four out of four meals weren't good. We won't be back.

This is actually one of the best and most underrated restaurants in Fayetteville. The menu isn't extensive, but has good quality dishes at a very fair price. This applies to the wine list as well. The food is usually great, and in larger than average portions. The staff is friendly and helpful. Just a note though, PIERRO’S ITALIAN BISTRO is located downtown on Hay St. Not to be confused with their other restaurant, which is a pizzeria near Methodist University.

I enjoy Pierro's as a place to eat, however, I went there for New Years and was displeased. The New Years party was suppose to start at 10:00pm and DJ and at 10:30pm. At 11:15pm I finally grabbed the manager t oask what was going on. People were still being served food, they were clearing out tables as people were leaving from dinner. There were plenty of people who came out for the party that were standing/sitting around waiting for everything to get started. I spoke with some people that came in for the party who did not purchase tickets for the party yet, at 11:30pm when everything FINALLY started, I ran into the same people who said they never had to purchase the tickets. Not only that but no one even came around to take the tickets I had paid for! I would have rather spent the extra money and went somewhere else. When I spoke to the Manager his girlfriend was following him around and was picking a fight as he kept checking on us and my guests. She was uncomfortable that he was paying attention to the people there rather than her. The manager finally bought us 1 drink to appologize for the service. That was it. Very displeased with their New Years event.

Nice ambiance and pleasant staff. The service is abysmally slow. I came here for lunch and purchased off the express lunch menu. It took 45 minutes for our food to arrive and my wife's pasta was cold. There were only 5 tables filled when we arrived. Very poor kitchen management.

Very busy restaurant. Nice atmosphere. We sat at the bar and we had EXCELLENT service and the food was great. Even had to swap plates because I couldn't decide which entre' tasted better. I can't wait to go back again.
