Playa Azul, Santa Rosa

Despite being located in retirement village Oakmont not everyone eating at Playa Azul is a dinosaur. The table next to me for lunch had a blond soccer mom with her 3 primary school age kids munching down on the, YES, very mild food. Playa Azul has a spiffy clean dining room & an outdoor patio looking out towards the Valley of the Moon. They pour $5 Cuervo Gold Margaritas. Their mild cuisine is clean, oil-free, fresh tasting. The place is family owned by nice people. Our extremely sweet young waitress was drop-dead gorgeous. Bambie had the shrimp salad that was loaded with fresh vegetables and avocado. My Taco salad had at least 18 oz of succulent carnitas. Best I've had in 2 years. Not too salty, extremely tender, great pork flavor. Well worth $30 with tip for a big lunch for 2 people. Recommended!
