Pizza Antica, Lafayette

this place is all around amazing. one of the best pizza places i have ever eaten at.i wouldn't go anywhere else in Lamorinda.u can trust me.

The food here is great! Service is superb! My only complaint is the girls that stand up at the front and seat people. There's usually two up at the front as you come in and they act like the biggest snobs! Like they (as HOSTESSES) are so above what they are doing! My advice is......then GET off your lazy butts and get a different job!!

The pizzas are creative and very good and probably the only thing I would go back for. The appetizer choices are uninspired and extremely expensive for what you receive. We went as a group of four and the service was very slow and the place was crowded which with the poor acoustics made it painfully loud. The appetizers barely served two but were close to $10 each so it was expensive to order a variety, although we did and were disappointed in the selection, presentation, and overall taste. The dessert menu was equally dismal. I would possibly go back for lunch and only order a pizza but with all the other great restaurants in Lafayette, it will be a long time before I do.

I had a very pleasant experience here on the patio one evening. I ordered a chopped salad and added the chicken and it was served on a very thin pizza type crust. It was really amazing. The waitress was very helpful in the selection. The wine recommendation was perfect. I will return for the pizza next time and from the looks of it I will not be disappointed.

I love the warm and friendly atmosphere. Very comfortable to drop in an dine solo at the bar. The bar servers are great assisting with a wine choice if you are undecided. A little noisy; but the friendly staff and great food more than compensates.

Very good pizza. I ordered the garlic/cheese pizza, and YUM, YUM, YUM! The crust is extra thin and the cheese is thick. The pizza is square, a fun addition to the taste. Great place to eat.

Its hard to believe Freddie's is gone and Pizza Antica has taken its place. (Yes it is actually located in Freddie's original location.) If you like expensive small yuppie pizza on a thin burnt crust, then you'll love this place. However, I can't knock the service which was exceptional. They do have a decent wine selection. Pricey.
