Absolutely charming. Anybody 40 or older will enjoy this dining experience. We got seated amid huge stone pillars beneath varied light systems, some old, some new. After we ordered, we browsed around the store looking at the antiques and happened upon the 60s soda fountain. Had we known that there was an old fashioned soda shop around the wall, we would have eaten there; Oh well, next time. We got back to our table just as the server was bringing our food. It was good and there was enough, the waffle fries were extreme!!!

I cannot begin to tell you how disappointing our most recent trip to the Red Rooster Café was, but I’ll try. To begin this was a Sunday morning and we were craving the delicious brunch experienced once before at the Red Rooster. After sitting down and ordering we hit the buffet, what had been a beautiful display of fruit and small delights on the last visit was now just a plate with scattered pieces of fruit chunks that had been very picked over worst of all none of the pastries existed! On to the three egg dishes, no descriptions on any, of which two looked very similar. Potatoes were dry and overcooked, bacon and sausage links were in a POOL of grease. The biscuits were very light and delicious and sadly the best part of the experience. On the last visit the omelet station was the highlight and quite possibly the best I’ve ever had. This time could not have been more different, in fact we didn’t even get to have one. The wait was overwhelming, but then considering almost everyone in the packed restaurant had the brunch and only one person was cooking omelets for roughly 50 people it makes sense. This led to a bad “vibe” in the general buffet area. Our waitress offered to help leading us to believe there was some resolution only to have her tell us he had to work through the line to start ours, the line that was getting longer and longer. An offer to “take it home” didn’t help because as mentioned our omelet hadn’t been started yet and who wants a cold or even reheated omelet? The final straw was the busser splashing the left over drinks from strangers on my girlfriend and her purse while cleaning the table next to us. A comment was made to the hostess upon leaving and she clearly could have cared less. Overall the entire experience was a complete disappointment from the service to the, sub-par at best food. We will not be back.

I've been here several times and the food is good for the price paid. The crew does the best they can but management need a lesson in focussing on customer service. I thought the first time 45 minutes was a long wait but today you showed you can't handle 18 person party. 2 hours of wait doesn't deserve further visits (got there at 12:15 and first plate serve was at just 2:13. Brunch on weekend is buffet no wait but being seated can have some wait. Sorry, but you lost my business and the 10 to 1 rule with me is more like 25 to 1.

Arrived there on a Sunday morning thinking we'd have the buffet, but having a long drive ahead of us, we all thought better of it and decided to order off the menu. (The buffet looked great, just too colossally full of food). Some of us had breakfast, some had lunch. All was good, basic comfort food served in a huge barn of a place that uses the other half of the space to sell antiques. So if you've never been there before, allow some time to walk around and see all the stuff. You probably won't buy any of it but it's fun to look at. Good food, pretty good value, we'll be back for sure.

Good food, comfortable place. Great Sunday morning entertainment... Larry Read is super! He alone is worth the price of the buffet. Go and enjoy.

Went in for a quick breakfast, ordered the 'fresh' corned beef, shredded hash browns, over medium eggs, and a biscuit. Watched the kitchen struggle to keep up with maybe six tickets at a time. Watched the waitstaff have to cut through the back of the kitchen to the dirty dish area. Watched waitstaff wait for their orders to come up. Waited a long time for our food. Eggs were cooked just right. Fresh corned beef was almost taste free brisket mixed with the same shredded (frozen) hash browns that were served with breakfast. The biscuits were not fresh, looked and tasted like frozen product. Only condiment on table for biscuit was strawberry preserve. Attentive waitress kept our coffee full, table clean. Disappointed in the food after reading all the 'gourmet' references - it could and should have been much better, fresher, should not have included frozen finished products.
