Nothing says great time like an Irish pub on game night. Flannery's is a top spot for people in downtown St. Louis to gather, eat, drink, and watch their favorite sports program. This sports bar/beer garden is located on the busy Washington Avenue strip and loft district, yet maintains the charm and communal feel of a traditional Irish bar. With over 30 different ales and lagers to choose from, and a very nice menu full of options, there's something for everyone. The fun staff and jovial regulars help create the welcoming ambiance that makes this place stand out. Meet friends for happy hour, or enjoy a late night of camaraderie at the neighborhood pub. - Cathryn D. Blue
I went there once for a football game, and had a great time. I tried to plan a large get together with some co-workers, and got the run around with their management trying to confirm the time and date. They never returned my calls, and I was finally told the day before the event that we could not have the event there - something the guy could have told me two weeks earlier when I started to plan it. At that moment I decided I would never give my business to a pub that has no respect for the time of their would be patrons.
There service is terrible! Some friends and I just went there this week for lunch and had the worst experience. It took our waitress 10 minutes to take our drink order. Our waitress just looked like she hated the world. Finally when we ordered food, it took about 40 minutes for us to get the food. By the time we got it, we were already late for work. Our food was cold and the fries tasted like cold rubber. We asked to speak to a manager because we felt we should get some money taken off the bill because of the service and the bad food. Well the manager was very rude and didn't take anything off. He told us that he could have hot fries out to us in no time. Well, why couldn't we have hot fries in the first place? Do they only serve hot fries to people that complain? I will never go back there. Everytime we have been there before this incident, there service was bad.
