I took a group of 24 for lunch today and what a wonderful time we had. The place is beautiful inside. The management staff couldn't of been nicer with me when I call to make the reservation or make us more welcome. We all had individual checks and it was no problem. The food was great not one person had a bad meal. The prices were reasonably. They made a wonderful cosmo. I would recommend this place to all my friends and looking forward to going again for Saturday or Sunday brunch and dinner soon.
This place is terrible. Bar staff is unbelieveably rude. The drinks are very overpriced. The food used to be great, but it has gone down hill. This used to be a fun place to go but it has changed. I would not recommend going there ever, I know I will not spend a dime there. And the management is very rude. Do not complain about anything because they do not care.
A friend of mine decided to have her bday party here along with about 50 young professionals from the area. I understand that we were a large party, however we were in contact with the managers for weeks prior to this event and the managers did not have enough wait staff to properly serve us. The drinks were slow and the food was even slower. In addition to that, the food and drinks were only mediocre at best.
After we spent over $3000 with this establishment on drinks and food, we wanted the bday girl to blow out the candles on the bday cake that we purchased from a local bakery. Lucas Park managers threw a complete fit and demanded that we pay them $4 per person to eat the cake because we brought it in from an outside vendor. I completely understand their policy that they don't want people bringing in food from the outside, however exceptions can be made. Especially considering that two weeks prior a co-worker had a bday party there and they brought their own cake in!
One would think because of the great business that our group could bring to them in the future that they would want the event to go off smoothly. One would think that because this was on a weekday evening and the restaurant was completely dead except for us that they would appreciate the $3000 worth of business. Instead the management caused a complete scene when we brought out the cake. I was so appalled when one of the party members forked over the money just to get the management to shut up and stop harassing us. I have written letters to the managers and owners, but no one has responded.
This restaurant has piss poor management and the food quality doesn’t compensate. There are much better restaurants in the area to choose from...ones that could care less if you bring in your own cake. I personally can not wait for the day for this restaurant to close its doors.
RACIST! I attended this establishment for the first time on 12/20/08 - the racism at the front door was so high. I'm flabbergasted by the treatment I received all because of the color of my skin. Unbelievable
