The funny thing the 1st time my wife and I went there to eat the food was good and service was good. But the 2nd and 3rd time we tried it, everything had gone down hill. I have no idea how they stay in business. They must cater to a lot of Old Business Men who have no idea what good Thai is supposed to taste like. The 4th and very last time I purposely went there I tried to get Lunch to go. I couldn't get anyone who answer the phones who could understand me. When I got there they had cooked the completely wrong thing. It took them another 20 mins to redo my order properly and then I found out they cooked me a Dinner portion not a Lunch portion and I had to shell out $12 for some of the greasiest noodles with the most overcooked veges and fattiest beef ever. I had a friend asked me to join him on a lunch date to join him at Taste of Bangkok and I told him I was never going there again and wouldn't eat there even if someone paid me.
This place must be the worst thai food in the world!! Service was so poor with very young waitstaff and very rude service. I got food that smells and when asked to get a new one, they said I have to pay half for the old one. STAY AWAY!!!!
Arrived before the doors opened, intent on a certain dish. After giving the elder waitress my order (3 dishes)(to go), I waited at the bar for 40 minutes as people came and went. After patiently waiting for 40 minutes, the younger waitress informs me that the specific dish I requested had been 'accidentally' scratched off and would I like to wait another 15 minutes. Disgusted, I returned to my waiting family in the car. Never again.
This restaurant is in the old Oxford Inn building. The inside is one of the prettiest Thai restarants I've been to. I had a talk with the owner, who is a very professional young man. The food was excellent, with dinners starting at around $7. I absolutely recommend this place!
