A rewarding dining adventure, the Blue Nile offers ample portions of low-fat Ethiopian food. Guests sit on small chairs a foot and a half above the ground and eat from a common platter formed by a large flat loaf of injera bread. Try the yebeg alecha (lamb cooked in herbal butter with onions and green peppers), doro wat (chicken simmered in a thick, zesty sauce)or any of a large number of vegetable dishes.

I have NEVER had such a wonderful expierience at a resturant like I did here, the food was delicious! we had the all-you-can-eat vegetarian platter and I liked every dish on it (and I'm a very picky eater). This is something I think everyone no matter what ethnic background you come from should expierience!

One of The Best Experience's Ever!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/30/06
Oh my..what an experience it was for me to eat at the Blue Nile, it was absolutly wonderful. I have never seen anything like it in my life. They have this basket like table where they spread over a giant sheet of freshly baked bread, almost like a table cloth. It was shocking to me! They also wash you're hands for you, and get this the napkins that you would normally see at a resturant, well with this their napkins were made out of freshly baked thin bread!! I know it sounds hard to believe but no its very true. I had so much food, the most moist tender lamb ever, it was made in somany different styles, I couldn't grasp it all. When you go to eat there, make sure you bring a empty belly because they don't allow you to take home a doggy bag!

seriously this is one of the best resturants i have ever eaten at. My family went for my fathers birthday at the old down town location and it was well worth the price. If you are looking for somthing different and wonderful go to the blue nile. It will make the evening special, but be ware you have to eat with your hands...
