Levende charged me more than I signed the credit card slip for after I left the restaurant and will not correct the issue. Manager actually told me to f***-off over the phone when I called to work it out with him. DO NOT GO HERE!! I took my step-sister out for her b-day back in March. The bill came out to $80 for the two of us (dinner, drinks plus tax & tip). My credit card statement came back with $160. When I called the restaurant to correct it, the manager told me that they receive many calls regarding over payment (this might be a hint...) from weekend customers. He suggested that I might have had too much to drink and forgot that I left a generous tip. When I told him that I may have had too much diet coke to drink, but not enough to forget putting down a $100 tip, he kindly hung up on me. I called him back immediately to see if I could work it out one more time (being naive enough to think the line was disconnected)--he told me that it was not a mistake, he would not fix it, and that I should go f** myself and hung up on me again.

Been here many times with friends for drinks and dinner. They have a super yummy strawberry-ish martini thing. My bestfriend had her bday party here too-- drinks, dinner and dancing too. What more do you need? Fun fun fun

levende is one of the most popular bars to be at on a thursday nights. they play pretty good music depending on who the dj is. but, there is always a really big crowd and sometimes you can find a celebrity or some of the warriors basketball team here.

I was there for dinner and had a terrible experience. Our friends were hosting a farewell party for a group of 30-40ppl, and our group of 8 ppl waited almost 40 minutes before they let us sit down after our host-friend arrived late. They just would not let us sit and order food and wait even with 8ppl and we will pay our own bill separately. The food is so-so-good. But when we tried to order the dessert, the waitress told us to move to another table so that the other reservation can have their table on time. The worst part is, the waitress slap on the table telling us to talk to our host-friend for the details and then walked away. It also took us 30 minutes to get the check and pay and leave. Our group of 8 did not drink a lot, but we paid $50+ for the food incl. 18% required tip. For this price and the high tip rate, I would expect a much much better service. They just have an attitude problem with their service. it maybe a place for drink, but definitely do not go there for dinner.

nightclub vs brunch: So I've got completely different ratings for nightclub vs. brunch. Nightclub activity is nothing to write home about. I don't particularly like to shimmy in cramped confines. skirting low tables and sofas. It mixes up my metaphors. Plus the DJs most nights are playing unremarkable house. Plus it can take forever to get a drink at the bar. So brunch on Sundays is an entirely different scenario. I got there early, around noon, and was heartened not to see a mob scene as is the usual schtick at other brunch places that are more on the scrubby, dingy side. Levende is really nice during the day and the setup there makes much more sense to me as an eating place than a dancing place. And the brunch was not only affordable but quite scrumptious. I absolutely adored my bloody Mary! Yeah, so skip the attitude and weirdness of the night here and come for the brunch instead!

Hi there, The food here is really awesome. The fusion is good, and the place rocks.

We just stopped in here for wine before heading to a late dinner. Great nibbles at the bar, good wine selection. Elegant and interesting. Can't wait to go back to eat.
