The General Morgan Inn is a jewel in the heart of East Tennessee. It's a blend of spectacular comfort and old world charm reminiscent of grand hotels. The Brumley has never disappointed. The food is artful, tasty and well worth the money. Whether one dines in the Library or the Green Room or anywhere else, one can be assured of excellent service and the best of nouvelle American cuisine.
I travel a great deal. The rooms in the General Morgan Inn were great, but Brumley's was horrible. The rice was a sticky lump and cold. The rib eye steak was so tough the knife wouldn't cut it. I left the steak on the plate uneaten and only one fork full of rice taken, and the waitress made no comment. I take this to mean she was used to the food not being eaten. This is the only time I have commented on a restaurant on the net....but this place was probaly the worst I have ever been at, and I eat out several hundred times a year.
I was so happy to find this little jewel in East Tennessee!! The food was excellent quality and very inexpensive. I took my mother to the Sunday Brunch and had a wonderful time. The Dining Room Manager was so kind and accommodating to my elderly mother. I highly recommend Brumleys!
I own Accurate Mechanical and Coldwell Banker Associated Reality Group. We had the President and CEO of Coldwell banker(Jim) to come down and have a catetered dinner at Brumleys. The food and service was great as always. Jim is from NJ and said it was great also. There Sunday Brunch is Awesome. If you have not tried it, You should.
Very nice. Yes, it is a little pricey but who would have thought that Greeneville has such nice place to have a great meal. I had the 3.5oz. filet that comes with two sides plus a salad. The Country Club dressing for my salad was very tasty. Dessert is a must. Their Creme Brule is some of the best I have had. My meal was a little over $30 which I feel is very good considering the entire meal was very good. I paid over $80 for a like meal in Chicago this summer. Service was some of the best I have had recently. I will go back to Brumley's and I recommend it to local people as well as people that may find themselves in Greeneville.
